They do not carry out due diligence. Found a fraudlent tenant. Documents were clearly fraudulent. Do not use them. Had a big headache trying to get my deposit back. Go for a family run establishment instead rather than a big chain.

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. Negative experience unfortunately.While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman.The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.Based on other Macclesfield position reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then.One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

Put my property up for sale with them all they do is over promise, the staff have no idea, couldn’t accept any feed back and very patronising, everything was a struggle after 3 viewings in 7 months took house of the market with them. If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people
