Buy elsewhere, shoddy internal works & bad aftercare

Purchased a home 28th Feb 2025. First sign that it wasn't going to be a great experience was that we visited the home early Feb and it wasn't near completion. I believed they would push the date back but they didn't, instead we come to realise they rushed the build through as fast as they could, meaning they sacrificed the works done on the home.

Highly recommend the experience at Furlong Heath

Ellie the salesperson for Furlong Heath warmly greeted us when enquiring about a property within the area. As first time buyers, she explained and showed us various properties that were under the shared ownership scheme to get us on to the property ladder. She was very knowledgable about the process and was easily contactable if we needed to speak to her, while also keeping us in the loop with the development of our property. She was also quick to help where we could arrange dates to get access to the property if required, such as allowing someone into the property to measure windows for curtains or blinds, and to measure some room space for fitted wardrobes etc. Regarding the home buying process, I think it went as smooth as it possibly could have.We have now been in the property for nearly 3 weeks and we are very happy with the overall quality of the craftsmanship of the developers and builders. We had a few very minor snags which was predominantly cosmetic such as a knock or slight mark on the walls that was missed after their snagging and would be expected from any new build property. However, Ellie and Adrian were very quick to organise someone from each group of the workforce on site to rectify any issues.Overall, we are extremely happy with our new property at Furlong Heath and would highly recommend them.

Brilliant service

First time buyers for a shared ownership not knowing how all works we ended up at Saints View development just before Xmas for a viewing and more information. We meet with lovely Sabina and she was really helpful and professional really friendly and explained to us the process. We started the process after the holidays and I cannot express how satisfied we are. They made all worry free always updating us and keeping us informed on what is next . Sabina was always available for any questions we had and believe me we had a few 😅 . Fast forward completion end of February and collected our keys today Jason the site manger that we meet today was really helpful with the walk through and assured us that if we need anything they are there to help us.So far so good . Hope the good experience we had so far will carry on.Thank you Sabina , Jason and all the team at Tilia .

My review rating is solely based on Graham Dixon’s customer service. We faced a number of issues/snags after purchasing our new build. Subsequently, we had a number of different agents visit the property and we struggled to make any kind of progress with our snagging. Graham was able to assist me on a number of different visits, he always ensured to take a thorough list of the issues and remedial works were carried out smoothly. He was extremely polite, kind and made it feel as though nothing was too much hassle. Credit to the company, thank you Graham.

From the initial enquiry through to final completion, Ellie has been fantastic. Any concerns we have had or questions regarding the purchase, she has been very much supportive and helpful in solving any problems. We had originally been let down by another development in Cringleford and after explaining to Ellie the experience we had that had already dragged on for around 8 months, she went above and beyond to make sure we had a good package for our property and were fully informed where possible.Even now we're settling in, she's still just down the road for us to check in with and talk with regarding any questions we have.Equally, the site have been great thus far on resolving any snags, all the way on the run up to Christmas. Our lovely Tilia Home....

We moved into our Tilia home (Saints View) in February this year and absolutely love it. We had some snagging issues but no more than what you would get in any newbuild, these were all quickly rectified. Our site manager Jason is just brilliant, nothing is ever too much trouble for him, he is certainly an asset to Tilia. The development is always clean and tidy and the lads on site are all polite. We are so happy we purchased our home and would always recommend Tilia to anyone including family and friends.

Post-completion customer service is terrible, and outside the one year period where you should be reporting every issue you can possibly find, you can forget about them giving two hoots about you.

We came across Furlong Heath just by chance, and thank goodness we did! At the end of July we met with the lovely Ellie who showed us a property that met all of our requirements, one that we had been told by other developers couldn't be found within our budget. Ellie was fantastic start to finish, she kept us updated along with way, answered any questions promptly and is always at the end of the phone or email. Dealing with Tilia has been a great experience, I would highly recommend using their solicitors too as the whole process was seamless and stress free! 4 weeks later we recieved the keys to what we now call our home!
