TrustpilotI Seriously Regret Buying A Tilia Home!
We have owned the house for a little over 2 months and have been without a functioning bathroom for 48 days now. Trying to work full time whilst acting as a project manager for the extensive list of repairs to my home is becoming a nightmare and almost everytime Tilia Homes send someone to repair something they either fail to repair it and/or break something else. I seriously regret buying a Tilia Home.

Very very poor post completion services. We've been moved in since the start of June and between site, the sales office and customer care we've been ignored constantly when trying to get our post completion snags completed (of which there are 100!) They have constantly promised progress, appointments and responses but continue to fail in meeting there own promises. I would never buy from this builder again.
We'd like to reassure you that the quality of our homes and service is really important to us. We've requested more details from you, so that we can directly resolve this with you.

The whole process from first viewing to hand over of keys took one month at Tilia Homes, Cashmere Park, South Molton. Karen (Sales Executive) won us over with her impeccable smile and professionalism. Being our first home, she made the process so simple. The house is well built to a very high standard, with the friendly Site Engineers (Dan & Zoe) always willing to help sort out any snags as we moved in.

The main reason we choose Furlong Heath out of all the developers in the area was mainly down to the fantastic customer service from Ellie - we just felt at ease and knew with her knowledge/experience that the process we are currently going through would be a much better experience all round than other developers, she’s a credit to Tilia and we are looking forward to the remainder of our home purchase.

Sluggish, unhelpful, unreliable management of issues that are raised with the property. I reported a significant issue with the soil quality and turfing of my garden to Tilia (parent company Untypical) nearly 4 months ago (April 20th) and it is STILL unresolved. I still have not received any progress on this matter and have been passed around between site managers and Tilia Customer Care for the entire time.

TrustpilotSEWAGE FLOOD IN HOUSE DUE TO FAULTY SEWAGE PIPES
I bought a house from Tilia homes and they still own the sewage lines connecting to the houses, this has caused multiple problems. We experienced a raw sewage flood into our home due to their faulty pipes, this resulted in us living in temporary accommodation for MONTHS due to the hazard to health. We had other people's faeces in our house coming up from under the floor. A private drainage company came to access the issue and they stated that Tilia built a pipe too small and it connects to over 60 houses causing the backflow of sewage into the lowest point which unfortunately is our home!!! I have a young child and it has been a nightmare!! Our whole lives have been turned upside down and 5 months later we are still suffering the consequences!!!! Tilia still have no solution to this and we are out of pocket due to paying excess/new furniture etc and now they are ignoring all my emails. AVOID BUYING ANY HOUSE FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL!!!

We have reserved a house with Hopkin homes and this has been very smooth. The customer service is great. Very effective at email responses and calls. Currently our house is not completed but so far the plot looks amazing. A very big garden for a new build. Great local amenities. Great kitchen upgrade and fantastic build.

Sabina, (Just for the record is an incredible ‘one off’ person of such calmness, precision of detail and empathy) the sales representative for Tilia homes, Saints View Telford Shropshire made our experience and journey to our new home very special and personal. From day one on arriving to the development she embraced us and despite our own personal trials and tribulations with general moving house activities, solicitors, banks etc and processes she continued to support us on almost a daily basis working outside her working time to answer any queries and questions and generally gave us the support of a close friend or family member. Ellie kept the process so simple and stress free for us. We were kept informed by Ellie at every stage and when we went to visit she always gave a warm, friendly welcome! Initially when we were looking around, the other developers were just trying to sell, sell, sell whereas Ellie actually took our personal interests into account, didn’t pressure us and just genuinely wanted to do right by us. Not sure how Tilia keep a 5 star HBF rating. Bought on their site at Market Drayton, Montgomery Place. Some large properties at the price point but quality of finish is not great. Poor plastering, painting and joinery for a start. Snags are given back to the original contractor who seems either to be clueless or just make things worse. Carol in sales is great as are Tilias own maintenance team.

As a first time buyer, the whole process was incredibly smooth with Tilia Homes, Kings Park. The communication from the team has been incredible from start to finish, with any question asked responded to promptly. Michelle and Kat at Tilia in Cottenham have been absolutely fantastic throughout this journey, and I am incredibly grateful that I have had their support in buying my first home! Even with the development still being in progress, the groundworkers are very respectful, with the area being kept tidy and noise being managed.

We purchased a plot at the Furlong Heath park in Norwich. Our sales advisor, Ellie was absolutely brilliant. She made our journey purchasing our home seamless and not stressful at all.
