An error was realised in the initial pricing of the premises, when we looked at similar properties in the immediate vicinities and what they had been sold for. Sheila took over management of our property and both instigated and continued communication as she kept us constantly informed us as to the progress she was making. In less than one week, she contacted us to inform us that there was quite some interest from people, and then an offer. Unfortunately the offer was not quite enough for us to be able to accept. Undeterred, and ever upbeat, Sheila took control of that temporary blip and came back with another offer from another potential purchaser. This potential purchaser was - well, hopefully is - actually half of a couple and they sound charming. [But of course, I would say that, wouldn’t I?] Apparently they liked the property, but were unable to reach our asking price. I conferred with family and suggested a compromise; after speaking with the prospective purchasers, Sheila contacted me to say that they agreed to it. So we have accepted the offer of the charming[!] couple and hope that they are pleased. We understand that they are the end of a long chain and we will all hope that the bracelet doesn’t have a link that breaks. I am very pleased that Sheila is dealing with my mother’s house. I contacted Haart in Ashford as i was looking to move into the Ashford area but was unsure if this would be feasible with my current financial situation and what i would be able to afford up to. I had an informative chat with George who discussed my options in depth and suggested my first priority should be to speak with Anthony (mortgage specialist in branch) as this would allow me to properly assess what i could afford and to carry out a cost of moving exercise. Following on from my chat with George and meeting with Anthony I decided it made sense to stay put for the time being but i have now remortgaged and saved significantly on my monthly mortgage payments, would definitely recommend the guys at Haart Ashford. As a seller, instructing Haart Shepperton has been our worst nightmare! After initially thinking they seemed great, they quickly became very unresponsive. Just two weeks into our marketing they started piling on the pressure to reduce the price by £50,000 which is a clear indication they overpriced it in the first place to get us tied in. They take a fee based on original asking price rather than sale price so sadly, this now makes total sense. They’ve consistently over-promised and totally under-delivered. If you dare to complain they blank you completely then take a gaslighting approach to dispute resolution. Escalating complaints is a very lengthy process, equal to the lengthy contract we’ve ended up stuck in with this unresponsive, lazy and dishonest agency. Don’t believe their marketing promises and save yourself 5 awful months by choosing another agent.

Previous dealings with the company in the last year have been dire. Having used Haart fir 20+ years, service has gone downhill dramatically. Pull your socks up Haart. Be careful with your deposit. They will withhold your money for no reason. I'm trying to get my deposit back for a month now. I've sent numerous emails and no communications, went to the agent twice and have been passed from pillar to post. There is no damage to the property or outstanding payments but still no return of my deposit. Terrible experience!
