I asked for a valuation from 3 different estate agents, Haybrooks being one of them but chose to go with another agent purely based on price. When I spoke with Haybrooks to inform them this, the agent then slagged off my choice stating they're cheap for a reason and wouldn't sell my house anytime soon, which is pretty pathetic and very unprofessional. I wont name and shame the actual person though. I’m currently looking to purchase a property and have made several enquiries via Haybrooks, yet haven't heard anything back from them. They're just being very petty because I didn't choose them to sell my property. I guess there's a reason why estate agents are ranked among the top 10 least trusted professions in the UK.

Fantastic agents despite heartbreak

We began our purchase of a property offered through Haybrook back in the summer. Every step of the way Laura and Amanda had been fantastic at keeping us in the loop, informing us of any changes and chasing the vendors when needed.Unfortunately, the vendors decided to pull out of the sale when we were ready for completion due to their own sale falling through. Amanda was incredibly supportive and tried her best to reason with them, however she was unsuccessful. However I am so grateful for her kind words, support, and kindness during this time.We are currently looking for another property, and any with Haybrook always get a second look from us due to our previous wonderful experience.

Frustrating to the bitter end

I hired Halbrook to let my property 2 years ago. I then decided to withdraw bc I experienced them as utterly incompetent. I had to pay a steep penalty for withdrawing from their full management service but that worth it. Anything to stop the pain of dealing with their incompetence. Two years down the line and am trying to recover the deposit from them, my tenant left without paying her last month rent, and the incompetence or lack of effort to resolve issues in a satisfactory way, has multiplied by ten. Its been two months and I am no where near recovering my money. They finally sent me a statement charging for things that were not declared 2 years ago, charging further for withdrawing from their service, for which I have already paid a hefty sum and to ad insult to injury no answers my emails or phone calls so I'm getting no where. Avoid at any and all cost.

They oversaw the selling of my partners house and got a very good price ahead of what the guide price was given at and way above what other estate agents had pitched to put it on the market for. Yvonne came promptly and did the valuation; she took the pictures on a Friday. The property looked great and it was for sale on line by Saturday. Both Yvonne and Lola have been very pleasant and professional to deal with. The fact that I spoke with Yvonne when I first walked into the shop, greatly influenced my decision to use their services. It was good to speak with someone who was experienced and a valuer, rather than someone who had started there only a few weeks previously. On edit. The sale has finally completed this afternoon; 21/04/2023. The original sale fell through on survey, but Lola moved mountains to get more viewings arranged. She has been great to deal with throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these lovely people.

Lola showed us around a few houses and was so helpful and friendly, she didn’t put any pressure on us whilst looking but was always there to answer all of our questions.
