The Martin & Co team have been very accommodating, quick to resolve any maintenance issues. The staff are knowledgeable, experienced, polite and helpful. As a tenant, the process took too long, more than 2 weeks, with no flexibility in regards to specific circumstances, and communication on needed documents was poor. In the end, I was not shown in the flat, I was told to go to their office and pick up the keys. The flat itself was dirty and could use a few repairs. For example, dead bugs in various areas, stains on carpet and damages on the walls, nothing a cleaner and a hand of paint couldn't fix.Overall, lack of consideration which is not what's needed for a tenant.The staff I met at the office were polite and helpful.
Thank you for your review and appreciate your feedback, with the procedure at the start of the tenancy the referencing company can take up to 14 days to carry out all their checks this is usually discussed at the viewings as they need to contact employers etc and this can causes the delay.We do not carry out check-ins in the properties this is why we ask you to come in and pick the keys up at the office and discuss your tenancy and go through all the paperwork and inventory with yourself.As for the state of the property as an agent we can only advise landlords to carry out decorating on properties when we feel they are tired looking Landlords might not take on board our advice, as for the cleanliness of the property we would arrange for the property to be cleaned if we feel after a checkout that the previous tenant has not left it in the same condition as at the start of their tenancy. we also advice all new tenants when they move in to contact us straight away if they have any issues to contact the office and we would deal with this immediately. I can only apologise that you had this bad experience and will discuss everything with our team as another learning curve to make things better in the future.I will pass your compliments on the Staff in the office.Kind Regards

A viewing was organised the following day, my offer verbally accepted the next day and six weeks later I took possession of the keys. I have never had such a smooth transaction in my life...and only because Cliff with his experience and professionalism made the purchase seamless, helping me with any queries from my lawyers and guiding me through the process.

Outstanding letting agent, I’ve now used them for 8 years and continue to use them.The service I receive is second to none and there always deal with any issues in a prompt manner. Martin and Co have a panel of trusted workmen should your property need work and over the years I’ve had numerous jobs done all of which I was satisfied with. The full management fee is competitive and value for money. There carry out regular flat visits with a full detailed report.Your have no issues with Martin and Co and the girls in the office are always spot on!

All the staff in the Martin & Co Shawlands have been so helpful to us this year. We are three students in our second year who haven’t really had much experience of renting but they explained everything to us to make sure we felt comfortable about it. We have had a few, small issues with our flat and when we have contacted them they have always passed on our message quickly to our landlord. Would recommend them on to anyone!
