Fantastic pepole worked very Hard to help me sell the flat at start it was a very slow start, due to my own way of selling, I had pepole living in flat whilst I had the flat on the market, after listening to Javaids advice, the flat was sold within two weeks, the guy knows how to sell the property fast and knows what he's doing, I can't thank enough to Javaid and his team. I will certainly recommend to use martin and co Kilmarnock Road shawlands. I will also use them in future.

We never had a single issue with this agency for three whole years. Regular property inspections were carried out every six months, we kept the house in good condition, paid rent on time without fail, and thoroughly cleaned the property the day before returning the keys. The problems only started once we moved out. Since mid-November, they have been attempting to unfairly deduct from our deposit, claiming damages that simply do not exist. The property was left in the same condition as when we moved in. We repeatedly asked for proof of these alleged damages, and the only evidence provided was a few very questionable photos of areas that had clearly been cleaned. On top of this, the rent was increased every year by £40, from £780 in 2023 to £840 in 2025, and the same flat is now being advertised for £920 across all platforms. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this agency. New tenants should be aware.

We are a family of five and have rented twice through this Martin & Co branch. Our experience has been incredibly well. The agency went out of their way to find us a second house to move into within the same school catchment area when our first landlords suddenly decided to move back into their house. They’ve always responded promptly to any issue, major or minor, that we ever faced in either of the properties. Their lines are open, much after normal office hours in case you have an emergency. We truly feel lucky to have rented through them and thank Linda, Javed, Isabella, Richard and the rest of their incredible team for supporting and helping us over the years in our tenancies.

Hello to Everyone Hope all is well I wanted to share our experience with Martin and co Shawlands Usually I don’t do reviews but in this case I had to say something and The reason is MR Javed and his whole team Mr Javed who is a wonderful person had assisted with our search for a perfect family home to rent and he did that by asking what was our preference of size locality and what features of house we are looking for He then started to search for our house as stated and in no time had already came up with a few good houses for us to see We saw all of them and were inspired by what we saw as all were good and one house particularly caught our attention and we selected that one right away right away Mr Javed had been very attentive and particular with his approach and assistance humble person and always smiling and we really could not have asked for a better person to be dealt with who knew exactly what we were looking for from the word go There was no time wasting and we were looked after perfectly and the service was very professional and personal at the same time I have already put a word out and one of my friends may also call in a few weeks as he may also require a new home My family wishes to thank MR Javed and his lovely team who all helped with our dream home and the good part is our relationship has just started and hope will stay like this for a long time Thank you Mac and family

SLUM LANDLORDS - My partner & I rented a property through this company. My partner lived in the property for 7 years and I lived there 2 years. In April 2021 we reported damp in the bedroom coming from the old boiler. They did nothing. In October we found mushrooms growing behind our bed along with a large patch of mould. I contacted them and threatened to take the to tribunal if they didn't fix the issue. It was fixed in 3 days at that point. Then came our six months notice to leave. We were told not to rush but the company harassed us into leaving. We eventually moved out after three months and have now been advised we have to pay for multiple services. They have claimed that the oven needs cleaning, yet in their original documentation regarding the state of the property it is noted that the oven is in a poor state. They have claimed we broke a window yet as the property has not been maintained within the seven years rental the old wooden frames have rotted away. This has been reported to them on several occasions via the telephone and via email yet now they are trying to charge us for it. There was one instance where, for whatever reason, my partner paid the rent a handful of days later than usual yet this didn't stop one of their employees sending a vile and billious email threatening eviction for being late with the money. Not one seconds thought or consideration to there being a global pandemic and the possibility my partner, as a key worker, may have been ill with the virus. When challenged it was apparently an automated message, which if true, I would suggest someone with better grammar and ability at writing puts together all automated communications. In short, if you are looking to rent, avoid this business.
