I can't recommend Preston Baker enough. They hand-held me all the way through the process of selling the family home that had been in the family for over 80 years when my mother passed away. Being over 300 miles away, I needed the team at Preston Baker to stand in when I could not be there. The back up support was impeccable. Neighbours who were also selling property saw how Preston Baker handled the viewings and open day and as a result chose to use Preston Baker. The house sold within a week!

I recently sold my house with Preston Baker and my key contacts were Rachel Lansdell and Naomi Tilsley.They definitely exceeded my expectations and changed my opinion of estate agents!They were easy to deal with, kept in close contact with the solicitors throughout, and provided me with regular updates. I would 100% recommend them if you're looking to sell your house and would definitely use them again if I was selling in the same area.

I wouldn't use anyone else. I had originally put my house up for sale, and then circumstances changed and I ended up letting it. Every member of the Preston Baker team I've dealt with has been friendly, professional and helpful. They've been patient and really flexible as I've messed them around, and didn't even blink when I asked them to let my house in 5 weeks before I left the country! I was especially grateful for their thoughtfulness re arranging things around the needs of my young son. They found me a great tenant who looks after my home as if it's their own. I'm currently on the other side of the planet and with Preston Baker's management, I'm totally happy that my house is in good hands.Their leadership team is both values-driven and industry-savvy, giving the company a strong culture of being personable and friendly, whilst at the same time working with you to get the best value out of the property for your mutual benefit. A model for all companies, I'd say. Thanks particularly to Sam Barthram and Kathryn Steele.

My interaction with Preston Baker’s Oakwood branch has been as a potential buyer, so I can’t comment from a seller’s point of view. From what I have seen though, the agency has a very credible position in the North Leeds property market, with a good share of the high-quality, interesting properties for sale. Listing particulars on the website and given out at viewings give lots of clear, relevant information - including video tours on the website for certain properties which bring them to life. Communication is good, with helpful buyer briefings beforehand, reminder calls/texts, and quick follow-up afterwards. These calls encourage open discussions about pros and cons without hard-sell. Amelia in particular has been very helpful; although I’ve spoken to several of the team who are similarly easy to deal with.

Preston and Baker manage our property. Everyone we deal with in the York and Sheffield offices are efficient friendly and sort any query as quickly as possible. We deal regularly with Jess, Charlotte, Carrie, and Sam. Our tenants go through Preston And Baker rather than directly to us. The staff pass on any information as quickly as possible and offer to sort the issue or give us the option to deal with it ourselves. We go away on holiday and have no worries or concerns that everything will be dealt with to the highest standard in our absence.

Our purchase was dealt with by Zoe, Louise & Anna who both individually and as a team made our experience of moving home with a family so much more easier. After viewing one of your properties in Selby, Me and my partner were ready to get this flat ASAP. We were told upon the viewing that we would have the application form sent over that same evening as my partner viewed the property around 1pm and the lady “Zoe” said she would get it sent straight over as soon as she got back. After a week of calling and nagging for an application form from Zoe she repeated to tell us she would get it sent out that day... Still not received any form of application my partner called for one last time to speak to Zoe and she advised her that she was getting it chased up with the lettings department... Still not heard anything, overall very disappointed and will not be using Preston baker again.

I have had 2 properties rented through this company for the last 2 years.I don’t think there has been a single month when the rents have either been late or not received. This I believe because they find tenants who can simply not afford the rent.To rub salt into a very sore wound I asked the same company to value both properties over two months ago now - they visited both - but guess what - despite numerous calls to their York and Doncaster offices- not a single response.You have to question whether they want your business or not ??Steve Parry

Every member of staff with whom we interacted at Preston Baker, from initial valuation to offer accepted stage, was impressive, informative, polite, punctual and professional. How many organisations can you say that about?! They gave very good, fact driven, advice on the valuation and marketing of our home. The photos and video were superb. The launch strategy really worked and we had over 15 first viewings and several offers at very close to the listed price. The advice they gave us on handling the various offers was driven by statistics and very sensible. We'd wholeheartedly recommend them.

thank you Preston Baker for your reply to my review earlier. However, I will still tell your senior about the case for further improvements. Your staff in york branch cannot solve what we concerned about. So we feel like we need to let your senior management know about it. And, interestingly, your york branch manager Ashley cannot provide us satisfactory answers, apart from a so called '£100' refund, while charging us over £1000 for doing nothing, and hence we need to write review on here as well as approaching your senior management, and now you advise me to email the same person in york branch. Very interesting. Have you read my story in details? I will write a report and documenting everything later in June-July time, when I can have some free time. So no rush, no hurry. Hope the documented report will help your boss know more about real improvements needed.FYI: the house Preston Baker cannot rent out in 4 months, IG property can managed to rent it out for me within 7 days. Look forward to seeing my new tenant in the house now. Thanks god.
