I recently used Liz at William H Brown to let a property within the Scunthorpe area and I'm delighted with the experience. From start to finish Liz was friendly and professional throughout, always answering my calls and providing consistent updates. Liz managed to get an excellent rental figure on my property, around £50 PER MONTH MORE than what any other agents had suggested. The tenant placed in the property seems to be a great fit, thanks to the selection and referencing process. The service from the lettings department at William H Brown felt tailored to me which I never would have expected from an Estate Agents. *5 Stars* wouldn't hesitate to use again. I’ve been meaning to write 2 separate reviews to explain 2 different experiences I’ve had with William H Brown, even more so my experience with Liz who works there at Brown. First experience was Liz helped me so quickly and promptly with helping me find the flat I moved into and supported me with all the information I needed to get me in as soon as possible. However the second experience I had with Liz was when myself and my partner had our hearts set on a house with a different estate agents and things didn’t work out and we were left in a position where we didn’t know where to go and were very stuck, I put an enquiry in for a house at Browns and Liz called me the same day to sort out a viewing who went above and beyond to help us find somewhere that would accept my cat who Liz knew was a big part of my life. whenever I spoke to Liz she was so professional but it was almost like speaking to a friend I’ve known for a long time, she was always so supportive and did everything she possibly could to help, even getting myself and my partner into our now home within 5 days of viewing it originally to then getting the keys. I can’t explain how grateful I am for Liz and everyone at browns for the help I’ve received, and I just know whenever we eventually want to find somewhere else or look at a mortgage I can trust I can go into browns with open arms and people who will do everything they can to find that dream home. Thank you Liz, and William H Brown.

I made the decision to use William H Brown after an acquaintance had told me how pleased he was with the service he had received from Liz at Browns. Terrible service, not for the inexperienced.

This company provided extremely poor service, they have been found by the property ombudsman to be negligent in their duties. They failed to get previous landlord or any personal references for the tenant they provided on their 'tenant find service' . They failed to do the start of term inventory in a timely manor. They used an external company to do the credit checks who managed not to find the tenants CCJ's that they already had. If you use this firm be advised you will need to supervise them at Every step and check every step of their work. Not for the inexperienced. And they will charge you for the privilege of being incompetent.
