I read reviews but don’t leave them, but after the experience I received from William H Brown, I felt I needed to leave one. Vicky Wright is THE best mortgage advisor I have ever known, within 22 hours I had a mortgage offer. She knew straight away what lenders would accept me and the best rates with my deposit etc. She responds almost immediately and is so very flexible when you need her even replying to me whilst on annual leave. She helped push it all through and sped it up so we could be in before Christmas, we’re now in an amazing house and so happy. I also have to give a mention to Leila and Reece who also both helped us massively- Leila coming after work to show us round the house for a second viewing so we could place an offer. Reece for dealing with my many phone calls and being very knowledgeable and knowing how things were progressing. I would highly recommend William H Brown for anyone looking to buy or sell a house. Absolutely incredible service from start to finish. Thank you.

My partner and I moved into Scunthorpe with our then 6 week old baby, and was in desperate need of a house to rent. When we approached Elizabeth from William H Brown she was so helpful in helping us find a property to rent that matched our needs perfectly! And they were so kind about it, while other estate agents showed little care in helping us (considering our situation) William H Brown were supportive from the start and knew how badly we needed to find somewhere, and they made the process as easy as possible to arrange viewings and get us into the property we chose. As first time home owners with absolutely no experience in buying a house and the procedures required prior to ownership, Vicki Wright made the process an absolute dream! From the very first meeting, Vicki made us feel at ease and explained every single step to us in great detail and was able to answer any questions (no matter how dumb 😂) we had. A bit of Googling had me expecting weeks of waiting around and meetings leading up to securing a mortgage agreement, but nope! Not with Vicki. I needed to re-mortgage my home address to be able to buy another property so I approached Vicki @ William H Brown. Vicki was knowledgeable and knew instantly which lenders would be able to help with this kind of mortgage and gave me all the information, rates and how much it would cost me so I could go and make a decision. Within a couple of days of giving Vicki the go-ahead, she’d applied for the mortgage with a quick lender with a great rate. The lender offered the mortgage within a week and Vicki made the process very simple for me. Although the product had free legal fees with an external solicitor, she helped me push the mortgage through to completion and I now have my funds. Thank you Vicki, you’ve been great!

Victoria Wright helped us to find a house and a mortgage end of last year. It all went through so quickly due to Victorias hard work and ensuring everyone did everything as quickly as possible. Victoria really helped us as first time buyers as we had no idea what to do and she made it all so clear and answered any questions we had no matter how small or silly. She would respond to our emails and calls usually within minutes and was always at the end of the phone. Very good, friendly, helpful service. The only complaint we have is that we felt a little bit rushed to get the letting completed. Being first time renters we did not know the process and needing to move quite quickly we went with it, only to find out afterwards that we should have seen and signed the tenancy agreement before we had the keys. We are sorted and settled now, but next time we will know what needs to be done first.

Shambles!!! Still waiting on Refund!!! After going with William H Brown, we pulled out of a property with them due to an issue on my end. To then still be waiting for a refund from them. Each time I contact they promised separate dates after the branch not knowing the full information. Now it has come to the Second date passing and still no Refund hitting my account. They refuse to provide a copy of the Merchant Refund receipt to prove this has been issued. Stay Clearly Away!

Gave them 1 property to manage before I considered moving more over to them. They new they were on trial yet were inventive in dreaming up extra costs so I was affectively lied to from the beginning, their renewal fees and management fees were the highest on the market so I informed them I was not renewing my business arrangement with them but they still took renewal fees. I have been given false promises on almost a daily basis that they will pay it back which never happened. I am now in the process of court action and have been in contact with the police who on a review of the evidence view it as theft and fraud. These people are dishonest and should be avoided

My husband and I had to move to Scunthorpe from Birmingham. Scunthorpe being a small town made house hunting difficult. Came across William H brown on zoopla and I still thank God till date. In my opinion all estate agents offer one very similar service but with varying fees, therefore setting the cost aside.. how do they differ?..my opinion is through the people/staff working in those agencies (I have no time or patience for all these automated online malarky..press option 1..2 blah blah)..William Brown has Tammy Cragg - she knows selling and buying houses is about dealing with people and what that entails and not just a client. Tammy was the best agent, she was so responsive, efficient and organised. She managed to answer every question I had which was very important for a first time buyer. She was always available to offer advice and support.
