I’ve had a great experience letting my property through William H Brown. From the very beginning, the communication has been excellent. Teegan has been incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and always quick to update me on every step of the process. It made the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. Liz has also been fantastic, professional, knowledgeable, and very supportive throughout. You can really tell she knows her stuff and cares about getting things right. Overall, I’m really pleased with the service. Highly recommend!

Nicola is a force of nature. From the moment we had our first appointment she had such drive and determination to get us a much longed for buyer for our house so we could move forward with a house we desperately wanted. She is very professional aswell as very kind and friendly listening to what your needs are. All the staff excellent at constant communication and are all equally lovely to speak to. Fast responses and nothing is too much trouble. Exactly what you need when house selling and buying can be quite stressful. They make it smooth sailing. It is a baffling experience to try and buy a property from an agent that fails to offer even the most basic level of communication. Despite genuine interest in the Brigg Road development, the lack of responsiveness from the Scunthorpe office has been staggering. It is rare to find a business that makes the purchasing process so intentionally difficult. To the developers: I am highly interested in your Brigg Road site, but due to the total lack of engagement from William H Brown, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss a purchase with you directly.

In April of this year (2024), my partner and I began the process of purchasing our first house. On impulse, we booked a viewing after discovering a house listed with William H. Brown a little sooner than anticipated. Since we had never purchased a home before, we were somewhat confused about the procedure and where to begin. Georgia scheduled a viewing for us after getting in touch with the office, and she also suggested that we meet with Natasha to get financing advice. Unfortunately the house we viewed was not the right fit for us however, we found a different home listed with another estate agent. Despite this, Natasha was still happy to provide us advice and complete our mortgage application. She made sure we had everything we would require and arranged this for us, including income protection, house insurance etc. Purchasing your first home at a young age can be very intimidating, but Natasha made the process really simple and less frightening. She calmed our anxieties as first-time purchasers right away and guided us through the entire process. She has been fantastic from beginning to end, responding to all of our questions and any concerns we had. We appreciate all of your assistance Natasha and can't thank you enough😊 Neve and Jack

Sold my property recently with william h brown and they were outstanding from start to finnish. Spoke to a few other local estate agents before deciding to use William.h brown but what i loved about them was Nicola the branch manager came to value you property she was amazing and was open and honest from the very start. The property was on the market within 3 days and had sold for 9 thousand pound above asking price withing 3 weeks. Nicola personally kept me up to date at every stage of the process and made the whole sale easy and stress free. The girls in the office were also amazing and very helpfull the whole team went way beyond what i had hoped for. Can't thank Nicola and the team enough. Would highly recommend

Our experience with WH Brown Rentals was shocking. Upon taking a rental property under the managed scheme, like many tenants, we faced maintenance issues. For example, we lived in a property with an oil boiler. One morning, we awoke to find an issue. Despite informing WH Brown that we used oil, they repeatedly sent gas engineers, eventually stating, "We can't fix it; sort it out yourself." After obtaining the landlord's contact information, it took three days to resolve the issue, leaving us without a boiler during winter. When we requested a hotel due to WH Brown's refusal to address the problem and having young children, we were told, "Sort it yourself; we don't offer that. It's not our problem." Other reported issues weren't addressed under the management scheme, leading us to contact the landlord directly, who addressed them but requested we not report him to the council due to WH Brown's ignorance. When deciding to leave the house, the situation worsened. Upon contacting WH Brown, they told our new agent we were in contract and wouldn't be moving. After challenging this, they acknowledged our break clause. Regarding referencing, they claimed 2-3 weeks, which our new agent and the referencing agency found unacceptable, prompting an alternative approach due to WH Brown being labeled as "the most difficult agent I have ever dealt with for absolutely no reason." Despite three emails, we received the final account balance four weeks later from a company associated with WH Brown. The amount requested was incorrect, and when questioned, they refused to provide clarification. We paid the verified amount as per our contract through a solicitor. During checkout, we returned the keys, receiving the checkout report seven days later, conducted four days before we received a copy. WH Brown absolved themselves, stating another company handles the deposit. Ten days later, with no information, we've threatened legal action for deposit recovery. WH Brown, when contacted, cited busyness and non-responsiveness to emails. The checkout report showed photographed parcels, which we arranged to have collected by a neighbor. However, they were removed without permission, and we've reported this to the police as theft from WH Brown. I've never experienced such shocking service from an agent, and it seems we may need to take legal action to recover our deposit. I strongly advise anyone considering renting with WH Brown to think twice. This review is based on a genuinely terrible experience, and we will continue to fight to get our money back, regardless of the legal implications.

Firstly, my experience with selling my property was beginning to be long and winded. This was no fault of their own (buyers solicitor) was dragging their feet. This began to frustrate me in so many ways. The sale should have only taken 3/5 months. I began to inform the branch about my eagerness to get the sale over the line. NICOLA at William H Brown’s (Scunthorpe) took the matter into her own hands! She was very professional, approachable, and genuinely committed to helping me and pushing the sale through as soon as possible! Her communication was excellent, every question I had was answered quickly and clearly, and I always felt well-informed and supported, calling me back and updating me every other day. Terrible. Took the money after doing very little to contribute to our house being sold. We staged it, showed all potentials round the house and did all the bartering. Commisery is right. What a rip off. Offered to "try and get inside knowledge on any house we were looking at buying" - did nothing. Couldnt even cite historical sale prices for a house we were interested in sale that info being available on several everyday websites. Paid £1600 basically for photos and a zoopla listing
