GoogleWe bought our current house through BJB and were very impressed with the professional approach from all the staff at the Sandbach office. The purchase was completed in only 13 days so that must be some kind of record ! We therefore had no hesitation in instructing BJB on our recent house sale. George's advice and assistance deserves particular mention as it remains as he remains as approachable and professional as ever. Excellent !!

Most definitely the most unprofessional and incompetent company I’ve ever had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with.Whilst renting a property through Butters, I also tried unsuccessfully to arrange viewings/make offers on properties for sale with them.The rental side is abysmal. There’s literally no communication between Butters, tenants and landlords.No-one ever answers the phone, you’re left to arrange your own repairs/maintenance and they fail to turn up for appointments with no cancellation. There’s more but I’ll move on to the dreadful sales!I put a best and final offer in on a house, more than 10% over the asking price, a very competitive offer. I was told there were 3 parties involved and all 3 offers would be put to the vendor by lunchtime and I would get a call later in the day. 5 days it took! I rang the office repeatedly, either to get no answer, be put through to the useless concierge service or be told the agent would return my call. His response when I eventually got hold of him? Oh sorry I thought I’d called you before the weekend!Same agent arranged a further viewing with me, I arrived at the property to receive a call saying he’d made a mistake and he had no keys.Next viewing, he turns up rifling through his pockets, he’d left the keys at the office.Lastly I put a further offer in on a property, again over 10% above asking price. Unfortunately I was put through to the concierge service (waste of time) not one person followed up that offer! Imagine if you were the vendor? Did they even receive my offer? Who knows?Avoid like the plague!

Absolutely shocking service at the Crewe branch. We put an offer in for a property last week and apart from one 2 lined email confirming it had been passed on, we had no updates from the estate agent Ryan. We called regularly for updates but each time no one was free to speak to us but said they’d call us back as soon as they could. This never happened. After hearing nothing over the weekend (over 5 days later) we called again on Monday afternoon to be told the house had been sold on Friday. Not one person thought to email or call us to tell us our offer had not been accepted and if we hadn’t chased again we would probably still be waiting now! We have put a formal complaint in against the agent for his and the offices’ poor customer service but I’ll be very surprised if we get a response within the timeframe. Absolute waste of time and energy, I wish we’d looked at all the reviews first before arranging the viewing with them!

TrustpilotLack of communication in Butter John Bee Crewe
We moved into our new flat 8/11/24 and within a day found multiple issues (2 windows wouldn’t close properly, a leak from under the bath) and we weren’t given a postbox key. These issues were reported to the letting agent we were dealing with at Butter John Bee Crewe asap. He had told us these would be sorted asap and we would get a call to sort out the maintenance issues within 24 hours. This was 11/11/24. We have been emailing and calling Butter John Bee Crewe multiples times throughout the week as these issues have still not been addressed, all that is being said is ‘you will receive a call in an hour’ which is not the case. We have had to pay double the amount in electricity bills to keep our flat warm due being unable to shut two windows in winter. We have also received no help in getting our postbox key meaning we can’t access any post coming too us. This is ridiculous now and needs sorting.

Rang up soon as the property come available on OnTheMarket to be told would need to contact the vendor to arrange the viewing not really heard of this before with a empty house said would ring me within 24 hours 30 hours later no call so friend rang for me and got a appointment straight away didn’t need to ask vendor put a offer in on another house back in September had to send Morgage in principle bank statement Id etc to then be told would go to best and final got the run around whilst ringing every day for updates to be then told it’s under offer how I’m not sure something isn’t right think they work with landlords who then use them for letting the property and today also rang about another house to be told you will get a text message to confirm viewing and nowt very much doubt the people selling these houses know what goes on with these cowboys in future I will just try and find the owner myself and put my offer in with them least I will stand half a chance

The team at Butters John Bee Alsager were very helpful from start to completion with the purchase of a house which was going to auction. With tight timelines, Hayley Lewis, as well as Kayt Heaney, followed up with solicitors time and again to ensure that my questions were answered and exchange of contracts could occur before the auction. I am very grateful for their diligence and sensed they were genuinely looking out for me as a client. Hayley was also very patient with me, as I had previously thought to purchase another house, but changed my mind. I am very relieved now, as the house my children and I fell in love with could be purchased!

From the first time I met Bev I knew this estate agency was the one to work with. Honest and transparent from start to finish. Bev was great in explaining how the agency worked, marketing aspects and the photographs of the property and lay out were very professional. Stood out from other estate agents I had met, priot to selling my property. Emily was fantastic, regular communication via telephone and email, always keeping me updated with my house sale progression., even when things slowed down prior to completion, Emily got everything back on track and house sale completed. Having used butters john bee several times in Telford I decided to use them also for the sale of my house in Wolverhampton. They have been very professional from day one. They informed me well in advance of intended viewings and kept me informed on a regular basis. They sold the house for me very quickly and have ensured that everything has been kept moving as smoothly as possible. I will definitely used them again and can highly recommend them. We recently decided to rent our property through Butters John Bee and made contact with Lydia Monk. Throughout the whole process Lydia has been amazing, and extremely helpful and thorough. She has been available out of normal office hours and we have communicated via email / phone and Whats App. A tenant was secured quickly and efficiently despite the lockdown due to Covid 19.Highly recommended, with particular thanks to Lydia Monk who has gone the extra mile.

Let 2 properties through BJBs and both times it was shambolic. This was back in 2020 and I'm still trying to untangle all the s**t they have left behind.They don't appear to keep clear records of rent being received, no organisation, don't have a clue when, and if tenants have left the property. If you complain, they don't care as long as they have received their payment. Totally unprofessional. Don't seem to know what is happening with the properties, except when they want their cash. Anyone looking to let through this company, avoid like the plague for your own sanity and peace of mind.Let me be clear, I have contacted BJBs on many many occasions to try and work with them to get the issues resolved. No action taken from their side to assist. We received a 'Without Prejudice' letter from Andy back in 2021 which didn't do anything to help my situation. Unfortunately I have had to take issues further now just because I need the situation resolving.
