TrustpilotUse an alternative agent if you want to sell your property in Bournemouth
A very disappointing experience I'm afraid and I would not recommend Goadsby if you are looking to sell your property in Bournemouth. There was very little engagement, enthusiasm, pro-activity or feedback from day one. A very small number of viewings and no effort to keep me updated on viewings or discussions with potential buyers. One offer was accepted but Goadbsy never demonstrated any commitment to progressing the sale, resolving the key issues or addressing any of the enquiries that were raised by the potential buyers. This meant a lost sale and a £2,000 solicitors fee. Any discussions with my contacts at Goadsby always focused on the easy option of quick price reductions as opposed to marketing opportunities they could put in place to drive viewings and footfall. Additional and improved photographs were discussed but again took 3 weeks to implement. Too many lost opportunities at a time when challenging conditions require a pro-active, knowledgeable and determined agent. I'm more than happy to discuss this feedback with anybody from the Goadbsy senior management team in more detail if they would like to call me but I doubt this will happen. Most definitely not to be recommended. Find another agent.

We have been a tenant with goadsby for a few years and up until recently were ok but on leaving our property early at the landlord’s request we did so at great expense to ourselves !the landlord aided by goadsby have since tried to keep most of my deposit as well for fictitious repairs and to add insult to injury they promised me and I have emails to prove this I would have the undisputed part of my deposit back today and guess what I’ve not got it they are rude do not understand the law or promises made so avoid very very poor

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear about your experience, particularly as you moved out early at the landlord’s request and have then been left feeling let down by the way the deposit has been handled and communicated.
We take deposit deductions and timescales very seriously. Please contact the branch in writing with your tenancy address, move-out date and deposit reference, and attach the emails you mention confirming the return date for the undisputed amount. A manager can then review the file, the proposed deductions and where the payment is up to.
As your deposit is held in a tenancy deposit scheme, you also have the right to use the scheme’s independent dispute process for any deductions you don’t agree with.

Refused to listen to our complaint so had to go to the property ombudsman. Shocking company run by management who clearly don't know the new laws and legislation relating to estate agents. No way of leaving no star. Good tenants, on month by month, wanted to end the tenancy on the 5th of December, rang Broadstone and told them, they replied. Yes, all fine. 3-4 days later had an email to say I couldn’t end a tenancy, unless we put it in writing… Yes, that’s right in writing, not email. Did this and then told we could end the tenancy until the 11th of December so it cost us an extra week at no fault of ours. Property had damp issues, which we weren’t told, just found out from previous tenant who had same problem, so threw lots of stuff out through mould.

If you contact the branch with the property address, tenancy dates and your deposit reference, a manager can review the file, including the advice given about ending the tenancy, the condition reports and any proposed deductions (such as the carpet), and provide a clear update on the deposit return timescales.
As your deposit is protected with a tenancy deposit scheme, any deductions must be supported by evidence and you have access to the scheme’s independent dispute process if you don’t agree.
