Dear Denese We are always disappointed to obtain a negative or one-star review, as Bassets pride ourselves on our customer care. With this, it is even more disappointing when the review does not provide any detail or clarity as to why we have been given a negative review. We always scrutinise and investigate reviews to ensure the required lessons are learnt and support or training is given or implemented, to ensure our customer service is ever improving. In this case it’s all the more frustrating when the review is posted by a third party, concerning a relative who had dealings with Bassets more than a year ago. As this means the review has the potential to be given, without full recollection of all the facts. Due to these unique circumstances and factors, Quentin Thatcher, Head of Bassets Lettings & Sales thought best to speak to you to discuss your review. As stated above, we take all feedback very seriously, so wanted to understand the circumstances of your very concerning comment? From our conversation, it has then transpired, that the one-word feedback given is neither a fair or accurate account of your concerns, but more importantly, these concerns were based on incorrect & inaccurate assertions and assumptions. Unfortunately, due to being a third party, you were not made aware of all the facts or correspondence involved within this matter. In the case of this matter, we stopped a reference being processed as it would have atomically failed, meaning the applicant could have lost part of, if not all of the holding deposit paid and this is never an outcome we welcome. So, in this instance we had been both diligent and extremely fair meaning the reference was not started or a holding fee taken. We have in this case invited you to remove or alter your review to fairly reflect your dealings with Bassets. As you acknowledged, “dishonest” was not the correct term and it was over a year ago. You have not done so, so we have replied to the review with our formal response for you and others to see.
