As one of two international students looking to move-in to a two bedroom flat, I had a lot of trouble finding landlords and leasing companies in Manchester that were willing to take a chance on tenants who were had little experience in the real-estate scene. After numerous rejections from various properties due to complications surrounding our international documentation, lack of credit, and filled quotas for student-tenants, it seemed to me that New Maker Yards - being the top-of-the-shelf development that it is - was almost certainly out of reach. Despite my doubts, I booked a viewing for a 2-bed flat. The woman who tended to me was exceedingly pleasant and professional. She was sympathetic of my situation, and did what she could to help me negotiate a fair agreement befitting my status as an international student. Her name is Aisha Alabi, and I highly recommend that you ask for her by name if you are looking to let. This was not the only employee with whom I have a had good experience. In fact, every member of staff that I've interacted with since have been similarly genuine, helpful and attentive. This is an example of what I refer to when I say that New Maker Yards goes beyond just ticking all the boxes. There is plenty of 'beyond-the-box' qualities of the development, those who manage it, and the property itself that contribute to the tenants' positive experience. And that these factors go unadvertised is indicative of a genuine care and dedication for New Maker Yards on behalf of the Get Living team. Above all else, this is why I would recommend New Maker Yards.

I have just moved out of new maker yards, and I only have good things to say about the place that had been my home for two years. Whenever there was any issue it was easily resolved by a trip to the office or putting a maintenance request which was dealt with immediately. There were some issues regarding the gates being broken or some parcels being stolen but these issues are quite common in every neighbourhood and they even added a parcel room to resolve this issue. There is also some responsibility on behalf of the tenants to collect parcels, especially food parcels soon so the parcel room doesn’t smell rancid. I’ve loved living here, especially seeing all the pets on my way out, the food disco trucks and also the lovely office, maintenance and cleaning staff! Will miss it very much

The team at New makers yard have consistently gone above and beyond to make my transition into moving as smooth as possible! Today, John was able to accommodate me collecting my keys a day earlier than initially arranged. Despite being extremely busy, he showed me around the facility once more and was very thorough and helpful when showing me around the apartment. From how certain appliances work, to accessing the residents portal and knowing who to contact in case of emergency, he’s made me feel so much more comfortable and confident in moving in. The location is perfect .. close to city Center but away enough to be quite and peaceful. Love the water body besides the property and it’s always neat and tidy. Above all , the house itself has been designed with so much storage that it more than what you expect! The administrative team especially John and Joshua have been wonderful. Easy to communicate and extremely helpful. A special thank you to Joshua who helped me zero in on our Home while I was in India itself and helped me understand the steps in simple terms. He has been a great help many number of times besides this as well. To add to my previous comments, special thanks to Denis , Tom and Rick for prompt response to maintenance requests. Thanks a ton

My housemate and I recently moved into Chalk within the New Marker Yards complex, it's a beautifully presented and modern apartment which we are both very comfortable in. The whole process from our initial inquiry to move in was smooth and easy, Josh was super helpful and responsive to all of our queries and made us feel comfortable. The area is great with close by amenities including a big Sainsburys, a gym, bar, smaller shops and it's close to town. My only negative point is the lack of storage within the flat itself.

We love living here! The maintenance team are absolutely brilliant and nothing is too much trouble, they are so friendly and polite and always on hand to help. The staff in particular Sophie in the office are also fantastic. It also has a lovely pub onsite, a coffee shop and a co op. A star has been taken off due to rent being increased every year and we expect it to increase enormously when our 3 year contract is up next year after speaking with other residents so do bare this in mind if the price you have been given is your limit on what you can afford.

I moved in last week and I am impressed so far with New Maker Yards by Get Living! The flat is a really good spec with brand new appliances. Lots of space and in a great location! Very close to central Manchester but tucked away nicely away from main roads. Josh Gent has been very helpful during the tenancy application/agreement process and has also been very responsive after I moved in to flat to ensure I have what I need and I’m settling in well. 5 stars so far for Get Living and for Josh!
