Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

Within a day, Bridgfords had several viewers for us and very shortly had an offer! Although we had several offers and buyers who ended up having to pull out for personal reasons, bridgfords always had more viewers lined up, without fail. We truly felt like 110% effort was always being put into selling our property. They also consistently chased solicitors and the buyer to keep us updated from sale to completion. A special thank you to Libby, Mike and Paige who all helped make the entire process run smoothly and quickly as possible without any stress for us.

As a landlord I've been using bridgfords in swinton for a number of years now and I can honestly they have never let me down. Having previously had a bad experience with other estate agents in the area, at first I was reluctant to try another, however, Bridgfords were like a breath of fresh air. I have to mention the service I received from Erin and Luke was absolutely top class. They were fast, efficient and very informative about the new laws coming into place. They were never pushy and always made me feel safe and in control of my property. But what stood out most though was just how polite and friendly they were and they even went out of their way to drop off keys and papers to my house. I would definitely recommend Bridgfords in Swinton.

I thoroughly recommend the service provided by Bridgfords. Our ‘journey’ from first meeting John last May to moving house the week before Christmas has been a rather rocky road with many twists and turns! Selling our home quickly, being disappointed when it fell through, back in business again in October is the short story! By our side the whole way through was LAUREN. Oh my goodness what would we have done without her? Always friendly and cheerful, always incredibly supportive and at the end of the phone like lightening when we needed her. She was knowledgeable, thorough and totally reliable, always doing straightaway what we asked of her. Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

Bridgfords overprice houses to get them on their books. The number of their properties that have to get reduced in value due to this is very common. They mislead the sellers into thinking their property is worth more than what it is. They never take into consideration any work/structural work that needs doing which subsequently would devalue the property. If you're with Bridgfords and not had many viewings, I suggest you change estate agents and you'll have much more of a chance!

Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.
