Lucy and Murray at Bridgford Lettings were very useful. They were able to accommodate my late notice move and I was able to move into the property in just two weeks. If you are looking for efficiently then these two are the ones to contact; no unnecessary chitchat - straight to the point. I would have provided 3.5 stars if I could. Unfortunately, I cannot go any higher, not due to the service which staff provided but due to the state in which room was in. When a tenant has moved out, I do expect the landlord to delegate cleaning to a professional cleaning service. With the state of room, I do doubt that is what they did. In addition to maintenance, one of my cupboard doors in my bedroom is completely detached. I am currently having to fabricate its functionality. In addition to, my toilet seat is completely loose. In fact 'loose' is a understandment. The seat is actually off completely.. I am too fabricating its functionality. Overall, service from staff was great but property management do need to do their due diligence.

Fraud risk

Refused to return deposit after tenancy ended, eventually complying four months later after we enacted formal action. Ignored all our calls and emails, and during the little communication I could get with them I was treated with more rudeness and dishonesty than I have ever experienced. In particular Deposits Manager Paddy and Leanne consistently treated us with the utmost contempt. Probably some sort of illegal operations behind the scenes. Avoid!

What can I say about Bridgfords in Bamber Bridge, what an absolutely fabulous team of professionals to deal with especially Jane Catterall! This amazing lady has gone above and beyond for us firstly regarding the sale of my mum's house after she passed away, and now ourselves. Some things never change - still shoddy

Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

2 month+ deposit return delay

I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

It was a very seamless experience! everything was explained to me clearly from the start to finish. The Agent assigned to me Ziggi made sure that each process wasn't taking longer than necessary by chasing and following-up on the individuals in-charge in order to move things forward. I had an amazing letting experience with Bridgfords Swinton. It is so far the best Letting agents I have come across, so I am recommending this agency to everyone. Lucy Dagless was the outstanding Negotiator I spoke to when I called in on for an enquiry for the property I just happily rented and my experience with her has being quite extraordinary. Right from when I spoke with her on the phone to our moving in, she is quite polite, very attentive, soft spoken, kind, compassionate, very reasonable, very dedicated to her job, amazingly proactive, very effective and efficient. I explained mine and my family's situation to her and she was very attentive and understanding and she included me to the viewing I wasn't part of, that was an act of kindness I haven't seen in any letting agent since mine and my family's arrival in the UK from Istanbul, Turkey. Meeting her in person blew us away, how she tackled issue softly and politely and she was on top of all issues that needed to be attended to in the house even before you mentioned it and she made herself available and can be reached to help profound solution to any issue that may arise. Sold our house with Bridgfords. Not only did they secure a great price for our property they worked with us throughout the whole process helping to achieve a sale with a great price. Mike was always happy to help answer any questions and was just there throughout the whole process. Not only did we sell a property with Bridgfords I then went in to let a property with them too. 1 Star is too many stars in my opinion...

I approached Bridgfords and Michael Poole last year to see about selling my late fathers Bungalow. I found their sales tactics to be a bit off, immediately trying to upsell me services I personally felt had no value, insisting it would make every difference. I begged to differ and having a bad gut feeling about them and a positive experience with Michael Poole I chose Michael Poole instead. Then came the phone calls trying to get me to switch and saying they would do a better job. After the second phone call I made it clear I was definitely not going to change my mind and asked them to remove my number from their records and not call me again. I received several other phone calls 2 or 3 weeks apart from each other and after repeatedly asking them to not call me again, the final call I received I told them (not very nicely) that if they contacted me one more time I would report them to the police for harassment as I had made it clear on several occasions I didn't want them to contact me.

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents…

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!
