Valuation?? They can't be bothered!

Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!

I would like to say that the team at Bridgfords Swinton have been excellent in guiding us through the sale of my Father-in-laws property after he passed away.Jonathon and Mike were sympathetic to our circumstances and took us through every step of the sale from initial valuation to completion.The house was sold within 24 hours of going on the market in April and we completed at the end of July.They say selling or buying a property is one of the most stressful things in life but we never felt stressed at all.They answered any query we had and were always available when we needed them. I would definitely recommend them.

Amazing service start to finish. Ziggi was class from taking my initial enquiry call to showing me the property, taking my offer, helping me through the whole process to handing me the keys at the end. Service felt really personal throughout and he also put me in touch with James, a fantastic Mortgage Advisor who handled everything for me on that side. Whole process was less than 3 months and honestly couldn’t recommend the guys here more.

Well what I can say! SHOCKING SERVICE.

Well what I can say!! After 7 years we have had enough and made the decision to move after countless problems. I am now having to move away from the area I grew up in and also I have to let my pet dog go after all the problems and YES BRIDGFORDS YOU ARE TO BLAME!!!! When we moved into the property it was just about habitable, it should not of been presented in the way it was but we were desperate. Over the years we improved the property ourselves and made it a nice home and we genuinely felt at home. Problems included heating pump problems, shower problems, we were left without a gas hob for 6 weeks, had to live practically off ready meals. Roof leaks, boiler problems which take weeks or even months to resolve. The penultimate decision to move was made when we were left without heating over the Christmas period, the house ended up like an ice box to the extreme causing massive distress to us and our young children, but they just don't care, waiting days and days for quotes to be accepted. Money comes before Health and Safety with these guys and to top it off we are being harassed to arrange viewings for new tenants, absolute joke. Unlucky for them is that I know property law, probably better than them and I have the right to refuse access to them until tenancy agreement ends. No one from the agency has ever been out to inspect the property in 7 years but they are willing to show people around, for they all know the property could be trashed. Absolutely unprofessional, some staff should be nowhere near the business of real estate. I think they think that payment of rent is just for the property, its not you pay rent for a service to which you do not get! DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM BRIDGFORDS. Its just a shame it has come to this but they are to BLAME FOR IT ALL!! SIMPLE. GOOD LUCK TO WHOEVER MOVES IN!!

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. Although I spoke to Mike and Jonathan occasionally I I dealt mostly with Paige Dunn for the sale of my house. Paige was very positive and encouraging when my first 2 buyers dropped out and she was right when she reassured me that it would sell. The team are all professional and courteous and I would recommend them. Paige was so helpful, my property was empty and I had moved a fair distance away so she regularly checked the meters for me and sent readings. She dealt with post that came for the tenant who had not left a forwarding address and even offered to cut the grass when it was getting long. I can't praise her enough, she is friendly and very helpful. Now the house is sold I'll quite miss our chats.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

Within a day, Bridgfords had several viewers for us and very shortly had an offer! Although we had several offers and buyers who ended up having to pull out for personal reasons, bridgfords always had more viewers lined up, without fail. We truly felt like 110% effort was always being put into selling our property. They also consistently chased solicitors and the buyer to keep us updated from sale to completion. A special thank you to Libby, Mike and Paige who all helped make the entire process run smoothly and quickly as possible without any stress for us.

As a landlord I've been using bridgfords in swinton for a number of years now and I can honestly they have never let me down. Having previously had a bad experience with other estate agents in the area, at first I was reluctant to try another, however, Bridgfords were like a breath of fresh air. I have to mention the service I received from Erin and Luke was absolutely top class. They were fast, efficient and very informative about the new laws coming into place. They were never pushy and always made me feel safe and in control of my property. But what stood out most though was just how polite and friendly they were and they even went out of their way to drop off keys and papers to my house. I thoroughly recommend the service provided by Bridgfords. Our ‘journey’ from first meeting John last May to moving house the week before Christmas has been a rather rocky road with many twists and turns! Selling our home quickly, being disappointed when it fell through, back in business again in October is the short story! By our side the whole way through was LAUREN. Oh my goodness what would we have done without her? Always friendly and cheerful, always incredibly supportive and at the end of the phone like lightening when we needed her. Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people
