We turned to Arkwright when we viewed the house we now have bought, I really liked the way Jonathan sold houses and thought I’d want him selling mine, not too pushy, knowledgable, considerate and passionate. From there Tom’s professional nature and ease to do business with enabled us to put our house on the market at pace. From there Grace the Sales Progressor was on the case throughout always trying to get us whatever snippet of information she could, and, which with a fast approaching deadline for the stamp duty she kept us calm at all times, what a star. Simply put, they’re a great team, who are all joined up, and proactiveness is their default setting, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Arkwright and Co again. Arkwright were the agent for the property that we have purchased, and so we have only dealt briefly with Tom during the process of viewing the property and placing the offer. He was very helpful and prompt at replying and we were very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism. Our main contact, though, was in the period after the offer was accepted, with Grace who progresses the sales. She worked politely but tirelessly to progress the sale, keeping us updated (despite us not technically being their clients!) as well as liaising regularly with both sets of solicitors, the agent managing our house sale and of course us and their sellers. She provided more assistance to us than our own agent did by some way. There is no praise high enough for the amount of help and assistance she provided, and knowing what we know now we wouldn't hesitate to choose Arkwright if we were to choose to move again in future.

The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. Dan Edmunds was our letting manager for 2 years. Through repeated problems with a very very old house, Dan was superb. Throughout lockdown he was available and diligent- and though inevitably couldn’t answer the phone each and every time, he was quick to return calls and messages. Problems were dealt with very quickly indeed, and he tried the delicate line between landlord and tenant better than anyone else I’ve known in the same role. Pragmatic, knowledgable, professional. A big thank you to Kerry for being the key co-ordinator for all parties in our chain. Kerry was handling the sale for our purchase, however, she went above and beyond to help with our sale and at the top of the chain. Always polite and calm, Kerry was extremely efficient without being pushy. We used an online agent for our sale, although fine for viewings, the assistance throughout conveyancing was minimal. In a chain, having a very active estate agent is key in keeping momentum. I would certainly use Arkwright in a future sale. Kerry was a pleasure to communicate with.
