Should be called Arkwrong for OVERPRICING virtually everything they take on. Embarrassingly high prices given that cause no sale or unnecessarily long marketing periods and the necessity for multiple price drops. Avoid Arkwrong. They will over state what they think your property is worth to get it in the market and then it will just sit there for ages, unsold until they pluck up the courage to try and drop the price substantially. There is a plethora of evidence to support this in the market. BEWARE.

From a buyers point of view, the team at Arkwright & Co. were fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was extremely responsive with communications. Adrienne was particularly helpful throughout the process, acting as a trusted go between us and the seller. Brilliant service. Some people think it does not matter what estate agent you use as all appear on Rightmove. Not true! Arkwrights were a cut above the rest, simple ID process, no complicated internet to try and prove who you are, friendly straight forward advice, viewings well organised and once sold, you get frequent updates on the progress of the sale. I have sold a number of properties in my time, with various estate agents, I can honestly say Arkwrights have been the best to deal with.

Arkwright & Co were the estate agent for a house we recently bought and they were brilliant. We found them to be professional and supportive with great communication throughout. Charlie showed us round the house and negotiated the sale price and he was an absolute delight to work with, very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel completely at ease. Grace took over as the sales progressor and was nothing short of phenomenal. The sale would not have happened without her. There were some challenges that delayed the purchase (our fault, due to some choices we’d made) and Grace managed it perfectly. Grace kept everyone calm and informed, kept communicating with all parties and kept the sale on track (as well as providing a well needed, friendly, virtual, shoulder for me!). We had a great experience as the buyer and would definitely recommend them.

Rebecca initially took my call, she was polite, professional and gave me all the information I needed before handing over to the Sales progression agent, Grace. Put simply, Grace was outstanding. A difficult sale being handled by a different agent had a knock on effect with this purchase, introducing some obstacles. Grace would negotiate these unexpected issues without fuss or fanfare, always ending with a successful outcome. Courteous, knowledgeable and above all, proactive, Grace would have the answers to many of my queries before I needed to ask leaving me in no doubt that my purchase would complete without issue. I changed estate agents as found most are at best incompetent, then found Arkwrights and gave them my listing and kept everything crossed. They were professional and efficient from day one, kept me in the loop continuously re viewings and subsequent feedback. Their marketing was the best I have seen including not only photographs but drone filming and live walk through, they certainly earn their money. I have now sold my property and complete in 3 weeks and Grace has been my saviour keeping my sanity through all the legalities and paperwork, she did a better job than most solicitors on chasing and I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and keeping my stress levels to a minimum. But not just Grace, all the staff were amazing throughout and would have no hesitation at recommending ARKWRIGHTS if you are looking to sell your property. I would highly recommend the team at Arkwright's, having recently sold my house with them. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and Arkwright's had an offer on my property in less than a week of putting it on the market. That is remarkable at any time but even more so with the current unpredictable market. The whole team carried out their part in the sale to the highest possible level. Tom carried out the initial valuation and 360 filming and was always on hand for chats and to give solid advice. Matt produced really high quality images and video. I was really impressed when Carol and Rebekah came to review the property with me to take time to understand the features of each room right down to details such as internet speed, so that they could be effective and informed for hosting viewings. Grace (Sales Progression Manager) was a font of all sorts of information. She kept me and my buyers fully informed with updates at the beginning and end of each week and stepped in to help when I was unable to attend for the survey. I would recommend Arkwright's to anyone considering selling their property. Thanks for all your hard work Arkwright's.

Grace at Arkwright and Co is someone we all need in our lives. We had a bit of a nightmare with our first buyer pulling out (and our second buyers having the single most incompetent solicitors I have ever encountered), but Grace and the whole team at Arkwright were the shining stars we all need in a dark situation. She is first and foremost an absolute angel of a human being, as well as going above and beyond to chase solicitors, keep in contact with our buyers and reassure us at every single twist and turn in the house buying process. She is friendly, quick, professional and would answer my million frantic emails and phonecalls with the calming influence I needed. If I ever sell a house again I can only hope that Grace is there to guide me!!! Selling a house is not for the fainthearted but I swear to god, Grace was there like a knight in shining armour. We should always review at the end of service!!! We lived in 5 market place, SW for 7 months. Started fine, but this letting agent (Harvey Steere) and landlord (a man named Terry from Saffron Walden council office) turned into a straight-up con by the end. They tried to keep my whole deposit, then slapped me with a £1,370 ‘bill’ after just seven months for 2 adults and a toddler in a 1-bed apartment. Claimed it was for water usage… but sent some random meter reading numbers over email, no real bill from the water company, nothing official. And get this: it looked like they lumped in the entire property, office plus three flats, like I’m paying for everyone else’s showers. Also, they wanted to claim extra cleaning fees (£150) even though we left the place in a ready to move-in condition for the next tenant, except for some usual wear and tear when you have a toddler in the house. Total scam vibes. Thank god for the DPS, they rejected both of their claims. Plus, they wanted redecoration cash (£300) and submitted some fake invoice for same. I have agreed to pay a reasonable amount for the patches made by child proof locks and hooks but the agent acted like the landlord’s puppet, not a fair go-between, just excuses, delays, and greedy grabs extorted £300 for it. I feel it’s a lot of money for the patch job, but anyway KARMA will get them. Never again with this agency. Avoid them at any cost, unless you like losing money and your sanity. One star, barely.”
