Chasing up money owed to us for a year - not paid.

Throughout our years tenancy with John shepherd we have been chasing up a £100 cash incentive that was originally offered to us for staying on with the company. After numerous emails, phone calls and visits to there office with promises being made to us, we are still yet to be paid. Overall, the management and staff communication at the company seems very poor, and they have very little regard to students.

John Shepherd have been a great management company. They are on top of everything with regards my property. Seamless transition from looking for new tenants to getting them in. A detailed inspection is done on the property before and after tenants are in/out. Vetting of tenants and checking with me if they are suitable and asking for my input. Regular contact with me, also doing property inspections is timely. Jenna & Arun have been exceptionally great. They both stay in regular contact with me and work with me for any issues etc.. keeping me updated and informed and of all the next steps. A good company to look after my properties. Highly recommend

Going the extra mile!

I am not a tenant or landlord, but a neighbour of a property let by John Shepherd. There was an issue with a piece of broken furniture in which could be heard in my property, creating an awful consistent noise. This had been a long standing issue in which the previous lettings agent did not consider part of their remit, and were quite unhelpful. When I heard the property was now managed by John Shepherd, I called and spoke to Caitlin, Property Manager. She was extremely helpful, sorted the issue within a week and kept in contact with me throughout. It is rare that we give positive feedback and I believe we are all judged on how things are managed when things go wrong, which is why I am leaving this review. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

So bad. So so bad. I’m a landlord. They manage my property. I can’t express the rage I feel towards this company. Avoid them. Communication is terrible. They bury additional charges in emails and ignore my instructions. All they are interested in is increasing the money they take without a consideration to the tenant.
