Terrible customer service

Same as some other buyers. They were incredibly nice before the review. After that, the people in charge have all disappeared. We have encountered some bathroom issues with their design failure. We’ve asked them to fix it for us. Unfortunately, it’s been over four months and we did not receive any response at all.

Excellent service by Berkeley Group

We recently completed the purchase of our new apartment built by Berkeley homes. The process of purchase was easy and the service provided by the sales consultant and after sales consultant were second to none. The quality of the build and finishing are excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Berkeley Group to our friends and family or anyone wishing to purchase a new property

Recently moved in to a newly completed home

Recently moved in to a newly completed home in poplar and the experience has been great so far. Sarah Coyle and Jade Singleton are really good and they made the pre-purchase and post-purchase experience really hassle-free

Cheat, lies about offplans apartments!

Sales misrepresent the flat and sold us the offplan which turn out to be very different from initially discriped. No proper document provided at the point of selling apart from the very basic marketing materials. More information only released after the sales but still not sent to us. Sales admitted she misrepresented the flat at the point of selling. The senior manager refused to deal with the case open and honestly. Simply cannot believe a large company cheat its client like this , full of lies! After they take your deposit and payment , they just do not care about it’s customers anymore!

Crazy amount of lost or stolen mail while living in Berkley home, poor maintenance, faults with flat etc.

Experienced about £2000 worth of lost mail during the 30 months I lived in one of their apartments. Around 10 packages failed to show up each year, including one very expensive laptop. The lifts also break down about four to ten times per year, sometimes both at the same time. My neighbour has been constantly drilling in their apartment for the entire time I've lived here here, often starting at 8am. Saw inside their room and could see they've gutted their apartment, so I assume the drilling will continue for a long time.A gross paint stain on the carpet outside my front door has been there the entire time I've lived here. Many cosmetic and functional issues with our apartment resulting from shoddy workmanship. The only plus is the lovely staff working in the building. They hired some very nice people. Although, despite being very nice, whenever they promise to get back to me about an issue they never did.

Royal Arsenal Woolwich Nightmare Experience

Royal Arsenal Woolwich.Overpriced flats with lots of problems. Our front door panel was cracked.Scratches all over the place.During the building process the builders used our toilets they were still dirty, after they came to rectify the snags, leaving lights on, spilling paint on the new carpets. It is a nightmare. They didn't want to give back any amount we paid to them it is unbelievable they're still in business these criminal morons.500k for this toilet flat cannot believe.I will urge anyone I know to avoid these very dodgy individuals. This is just the beginning everyone must know about this criminals let's spread the voice.

LIE - BREACH HEALTH SAFETY / FIRE REGULATIONS

Very poor buying service, I’ve purchased many new builds & had a few snagging problems sorted quickly & efficiency BUT buying from these cowboys is a complete farse / joke - they lie, lie & lie even more, lies from their Mgt Co. & get FAKE reports required by law from associated companies to “try” & cover up their failings / lies.DISGUSTING - spend your money elsewhere is my opinion. I’d give minus lots of stars if allowed.

DO NOT BUY FROM BERKELEY HOMES.

DO NOT BUY FROM BERKELEY HOMES.ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE - As soon as you have handed over the money and exchange they do not care about you at all . They also employed an awful Managing Agent so between them our experience has been appalling . We moved in to the apartment and a whole load of snags we had mentioned before had not been done . The street lilght outside our apartment was hanging on to the post by a guy ropeThey demand the maintenance and service fee up front and then we did not get use of the facilities for nearly a month and then a few months later several of the facilities actually broke and again took another month for them to action or replace causing great inconvenience . Extremely poor communication between them , the managing agents and private car parking company as we were told by the Estate Manager we could park in a certain area in a verbal agreement . We then confirmed this on a follow up e-mail which was agreed too yet they are saying it was never agreed.Following this , we were told by a man from the parking company that if we just left our permit out it would be fine and we did not have to fill it in . Totally received over 15 parking tickets as we were told false information and mislead by those managing the site which then they told us we had to pay all these parking fines totalling in over £500 .One ticket they said they had revoked as we should not have been given it i then recieved a letter demanding payment of another £160 from the car parking company . After this again they stated this had been sorted and no longer existed . 2 weeks later i received a letter to my parent house from the debt collectors chasing for this money yet again so all in all they lied and did not revoke this ticket from the very beginning . This was extremely stressful receiving worrying letters like so and the potential of it damaging my credit rating and black listing my parents address , we ended up paying the fine which they then refused to refund me . We had evidence for all of the above and several other examples where we had received parking tickets but the car in the bay next to us had not and we both had our permits in the car . Lack of care is appalling we struggled to get hold of them constantly as well as the managing agency Premier Estates . We constantly report problems in the development - lights that are out , damaged doors that you have to kick to be able to open The whole process has been a shambles and actually feel so unwelcomed that we want to move immediately .

Cheap fittings lots of issues

Do not buy at Royal Arsenal, Waterfront. Bought a newly restored listed apartment. The interior has no character and thought & lots of snags. The floor plan had a ‘walk in wardrobe’ included but is simply a wardrobe with a couple of shelves. We were told by the Director of Sales we had a higher spec kitchen, but we don’t. The entrance has a concrete step and the path outside has builders’ footprints permanently visible because of careless builders not leaving the path to set. A hand rail had been placed right in front of the fob reader so access is difficult. Then we have the ‘5 star spa’. The changing rooms are filthy, the steam room has cracked tiles, flickering faulty lights and produces little steam and the jacuzzi is cold. The management company Rendal & Rittner are simply appallingly incompetent and depending on who you get, rude. In short avoid Tony Pidgeley (owner) and his Berkeley Group. All they want is your money, you’ll get nothing in return.

Quality of our new home was great

Quality of our new home was great. We did find a few issues but those were resolved very promptly and with constant communication.I am only disappointed with dealing with the management company as getting approvals for external alterations can take quite a bit of time and effort.

Berkeley Homes survey review.

It would be good if you send a text msg before the call to check whether it's OK to call especially for overseas surveys. Luckily I can take the call. Generally I am happy with my purchase and it's quite easy to answer most of the questions. It's questions that require an opinion that I can't be helpful. Nevertheless the lady conducting the survey spoke clearly and I am glad to contribute.

Good build quality, customer service, and timescale

I recently completed on a St Williams apartment in Oxted. They managed to stick to their deadline and exchange before the end June increase in Stamp Duty. Quality and finish has been good. More snags than I expected, probably due to the rush to complete before end June. However the customer service and focus on fixing the few issues has been exemplary. Very pleased overall.
