GoogleFirst time using a letting agent, rang 5 agents in total, Delaneys were not only the best priced but also by far and away the best service. For a letting "newbie" they offered up plenty of advice, quickly found tenants and were really helpful with some advice as to what i should be looking for in a prospective tenant. They were also a LOT cheaper than some of the other agents i looked at (in one case by over 34% cheaper) Special mention to Jo Lockwood and Gemma Dawes who have been great on the communications front and keeping me up to speed when there were any actions required by me. GoogleBad experience throughout the tenancy. We waited 3 months to get our full deposit back. Luckly our deposit was protected. Terrible landlord also. In the end we won the dispute. I do not recommend this lettings agency. In addition to your reply, yes, it is 100% a contribution to this stress caused by a dodgy landlord who you should not accept collaboration with.
Dear Catalin, Thank you for your comments, we are aware there was a dispute with you and the landlord where the deposit was withheld pending an outcome of an investigation. The complaint as you were aware was not due to us as the agent but a direct dispute between you and the Landlord. We are sorry that you feel we were also responsible for this occurring, as we did our utmost to try and resolve before any action was taken, however the landlords stance on this matter was directly their decision to propose a third-party investigation and not a decision made by this company. I had the same experience throughout the cycle. I have literally just completed my sale. It was a very long case due to probate difficulties but Delany's were absolutely superb.From the manager taking the initial enquiry and remembering all the details when i called a year later, to Lee who came to the property and was helpful on many occasions to David in the office that always followed things up to keep the sale on track and communicated to all parties frequently. The whole selling process with Delaney's was seamless. They found exactly the right clients to view our property so we did not have to put up with time-wasters. Didn't take the gentleman's name who took the call but came across very rude and unhelpful. FacebookThey may look after the properties they sell but be warned never rent a property that they manage unless you want to be stitched up , i wouldn't go anywhere near them if you want to rent , they are in favour of the unprofessional and unreasonable landlords on their books it's all about money with them not principles , just a heads up I wouldn't rent 18 cowdray way off them they can't even work out how much to rent it for ... check it out on their website, they know the windows leak and its riddled with damp we got out when we could it may look nice in the pictures but don't be fooled we put up with it for 5 years with no support from the delaneys team at all ,,,
