Please read the reviews, especially if you are going to use the letting service. The firm are literally useless. If the tenant pays they are more than happy to automatically deduct the management fee for doing nothing. If the tenant doesn’t pay on time or their is anything more involved than deducting their fees, you are on your own. Peter Alan will not communicate with you whatsoever. Having managed to track down my tenant privately, it turns out the service is just as bad to them. Appalling service and has cost me a significant amount of money. DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE.

4 times now I have been snubbed by this estate agent.I put the first down to experience when I was told they would call back to arrange a viewing. After a 3-hour drive, we were not allowed - as 'only taking virtual viewings' after being told differently on the phone.2nd occasion - they forgot to call me back and the property, therefore - as a result - received an offer. third occasion an appointment was set up on another property for 12:15 pm today, for a virtual viewing. |I also made another viewing appointment for 11:30, but no one called me. Despite eventually getting through and talking to the online BOT I'm told there are problems with the telephones. They were able to answer in Maesteg, Brigend, and Caerphilly.I will not do business with this agent or Connels (they are the parent company - apparently).This is how they treat potential customers. All I wanted to do was to check a few items I had noticed before considering placing an offer on the property.LET THEM TAKE SOMEONE ELSE'S MONEY - THEY ARE NOT HAVING MINE!

Peter Alan hands down wins the Oscar for Worst Estate Agent in the World award.Without going into detail as this review would turn into a 4 hour read, I would urge all prospective sellers not to touch this company with a barge pole.Peter Alan are a brand owned by Connells Group who are a large national network of Estate Agents across the UK.The entire experience was grossly unprofessional, handled by inexperienced staff.We took our case to The Property Ombudsman who found in our favour on multiple counts, and we finally agreed a settlement before going to court.DO NOT use this company as I can assure you their level of competency does not meet the standards required as set out by The Property Ombudsman which they are a member of.You have been warned.

We’ve just sold our house with Peter Alan Albany Road. They’ve done an amazing job from start to finish. We used their conveyancing solicitors who have been really supportive and communication is excellent. We needed to use the mortgage progressor Mel several times and she really went above and beyond to help and advise.Would definitely use them again.

i have bought a property in the Pencoed area and along the way I have dealt with anya in the bridgend branch from my first virtual tour till the day I picked my keys up this lady has been nothing but professional and friendly nothing was ever to much trouble always returned my calls and was always there to help. If you want to buy and want honesty then call the bridgend branch and ask for her. I'd never deal with anyone other than her. Second to none service

From start to finish very stressfull experience misleading information at joining as fees were much more than stated.advised to use their solicitors going to be putting in official complaint shocking service and fees extortionate solicitor appointed hardly returned calls attitude with correspondence day of completion was stressfull to say the least would never recommend peter alan and definitely not their solicitors conveyancing direct terrible experience with all parties 👎

Hassle from the start. Took them over a week to get it on line despite promising to be on that day. Nearly a month to get pictures with it and that was after phoning numerous times. No for sale sign etc. Problem after problem but the worst was when it took them a week to tell me I had an offer over the asking price. By the time I found out the person had already put an offer on another house. Will never use peter allan again!

This is for the mortgage advisor team I would like to express my complete dissatisfaction of the way that my mortgage has been handled. I am a first time buyer, my mortgage application has been going on now since February 2021 and we are now in December and my mortgage is still not completed. During my time as a customer of Peter Alan I have been assigned three different mortgage advisors (one of which I still haven’t been officially told has left the company), I have been ignored by the your mortgage advisors, I have had to do most, if not all, of the chasing around in order to get my mortgage sorted, which is what I have paid your company to do. The property that I am purchasing, I so far have been very lucky with, because as you can imagine with the length of time that I have been going through the mortgage offer and getting no where with my advisors the vendor has been very patient however, with no updates from this company, I have nearly lost the property on three different occasions, (this is where I have had to do the chasing around, whilst holding down a full time job). The latest occasion that this has happened was when I finally got my mortgage offer, after ringing The Conells Group over and over again. Now, only to find out that the mortgage company has put the wrong solicitors on the mortgage offer and once again I am at risk of losing the property because of this.As you can possibly see, I am really not happy not only because of this, but I have been told that I will be in my new home before Christmas, which by the looks of it now possibly won’t happen either because we’ve only got 16 days until Christmas. You cannot begin to understand the amount of stress that this has caused me, and it has also caused a decline in my mental health.

The girls at Peter Alan were nothing but supportive from the beginning. As first time buyers we were unsure of the buying process but even before we had viewed a property the girls were friendly and supportive. We used all in house services such as solicitors and financial advisors, they were all great too. By doing this it meant that they were all able to communicate with each other and get things done really quickly. The whole process was simple and stress free thanks to everyone at Peter Alan. We are now life time members and would not hesitate to use Peter Alan when we are selling or buying in the future.

With much difficulty I booked a viewing 2 weeks ago with Peter Alan at 5:00 pm. Peter Alan is a very poor communicator, they don't respond to emails on time. Anyway I went to view the property with my wife and I was on time. When we reached there the door was closed. Assuming the agent hasn't reached I didn't knock. After 2/3 minutes I knocked at 5:03 pm. The agent opened the door and said some other client is viewing the property and I need to wait 5 minutes. We waited outside in cold for 15 minutes we knocked the door again. The agent was very rude. Peter Alan didn't inform me that they are inviting for group viewing else I wouldn't have gone. When I asked him why he kept me waiting while I was on time, he asked me very rudely where is my car parked and if I want to view the property or no and he said he doesn't care even if I make any complaints about Peter Alan. He didn't bother to apologize for his misbehavior. I took leave from work and the agent wasted my time and insulted me.Thank youIrshad

Ideally I'd leave a 0 star review but that's not an option, tried selling a house through these cowboys caused us nothing but hassle and stress and the hidden costs is unbelievable once the 20 week contract of them being the sole seller is up wait for the numerous phone calls demanding money for this and that.We had the house on the market for offers over 80k after 6 weeks of interest and 2 buyers pulling out peter Alan suggested we sell to a cash buyer for around 40k or put the house into auction as it would never sell the price we wanted managed to sell the house privately for the price we wanted Wouldn't waste your time or money with this estate agent for 20 weeks they have caused nothing but stress

Peter Alan are the typical minimal work, but max money estate agents. Sure it's a seller's market but I truly dislike their marketing strategy which makes it so most buyers won't actually ever have a chance of buying through them. What happens is they list a property but do viewings purely on 1 day only, normally around 10 days later. Their aim is to fill the diary that day and place an offer deadline over the next few days. Highest offer with best circumstances (cash buyers) wins. I totally understand that seller's want the best price, but doing things this way just wastes most peoples time. If you rely mostly on a mortgage, don't bother even viewing as you won't get anywhere. They rely on and want cash buyers and if there's any of them on Peter Alan's big viewing day, everyone else has no chance. It's a shame it's so misleading as first time buyers relying on a mortgage will go and view when they actually have zero chance whatsoever of their offer being accepted. Peter Alan don't advertise mass viewings days but they just make you assume the reason the viewing is up to 10 days away from the enquiry date is because they are busy. Actually as I mentioned, they want everyone crammed into 1 day and unless you are a pure cash buyer wanting to offer higher than the asking price, you are wasting your time. Again, it would be nice if they informed people of this as many non cash buyers will have travelled hours to get there when they had no chance all along. We've fallen for this a few times now and even though we are of a good standing (60% cash, rest buy to let mortgage), there's more chance of a pig convoy in the sky than ever managing go buy a Peter Alan listed property. It would be nice if they actually were honest about their tactics as it sure has taken the p*** driving over 2 hours each way each time before we eventually realised it's wasting time and money doing so when we were never going to have any potential offer we made accepted.

We offered the best price for a property and we're delayed by Dinas Powys branch several days as they said the vendor wanted to see all offers and they had to wait for someone to see Peter alan mortgage advisor. The vendor chose someone else as they were more procedure at a lower price, funny as all we had to do was port our mortgage and had a large amount of equity. I know that Peter Alan put forward the people who used their mortgage products and solicitors. The vendor of Vale View had been ill advised and in my my view in a position to claim the difference back off Peter Alan. This practice should be illegal
