Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. They over promise and under deliver. We had been warned that they sometimes send the "lady from the Richmond office" Sophie, who will tell a great story of how awful other agents are and how she will be available whenever needed. When I said other agents had heard this before, and she just disappeared, she told me she had been furloughed. What was her excuse this time? After hounding us daily to leave the other estate agent, she ghosted us once it was done. As for the others. Had to email Matt the assistant director several times to correct the spelling of our housing details. Communication was terrible. We were told of some viewings after the event. We had felt that the agent was working for our buyer not us, but having spoken to her, sounds like he was pretty poor there too. We sold the house, yes, but for less than the agent has suggested. Glad it's over. It is galling to think how much they earned, given the low quality of the little they did

Featherstone Leigh's Teddington office were extremely helpful in finding us a 1 bed apartment. Ashleigh in particular was diligent and responded in a timely fashion to the queries we had. The whole process went smoothly from the start. We arranged with F&L to view four properties on a Saturday morning. We liked the second property, placed a bid and had it accepted by the landlord on the Monday. The whole process went seamlessly and to be completely honest it wasn't something we expected having been tenants in the rental market for many years and having experienced some pretty poor service on more than one occasion from various letting agents. Based on our experience I wouldn't hesitate recommending F&L to anyone seeking a rental property.

I have just sold a studio flat with Featherstone Leigh in Teddington and found all the staff there to be helpful, friendly and efficient. They worked very hard to ensure a sale and then followed the progress through to ensure a successful completion. Before selling I used the lettings department for many years and again would thoroughly recommend them - they always found me tenants in good time, working hard to market the flat and to deal with all the issues that renting involves.

I thoroughly recommend Featherstone Leigh. The most important thing an agent does in my view is to project manage the sale once a price has been negotiated. Let's face it, it's not cheap employing an estate agent, but if they deal effectively and efficiently with all issues that arise between the sale STC and completion, then they've earned their money. I live nearly two hundred miles away from the house I was selling so it was very useful to have someone local who was able to organise all the things that needed organising - and that they did. If I needed an agent in Teddington again, I would without hesitation call Dan Johnson at Featherstone Leigh.
