Dear Dexters (Asma Chughtai, Customer Relations Team ), I can confidently say I’ve been a good tenant. We’ve consistently paid rent, and there have been no issues during our one-and-a-half-year stay. Although there was a three-month renovation for one of the bathrooms (located in our bedroom), which I can’t currently use, nothing else has been broken. I am writing to express my concern about the experiences I have endured over the past year and a half as a tenant at 55 Queens Gardens. The consistent stress arising from unilateral practices during our tenure has been evident in numerous email exchanges, covering everything from trivial matters to emergency situations. Throughout, we have consistently adhered to your preferred methods of resolution.The issue lies in the inconsistent workflow and frequent turnover of personnel, coupled with the frustration of not receiving responses for at least a week. It’s noteworthy that notifications from Dexters about various situations are often last-minute, creating an unfair and stressful environment.Despite having a 2-year lease agreement, we terminated our contract with Dexter’s on November 8th due to the conclusion of the contracts between Dexter’s and the landlord. We meticulously followed the outlined rules in the contract for handover. However, we are perplexed by the continuous delays in receiving responses.We have heard that the landlord raised concerns about wall paint (for which we had a permit and left in good condition) and water marks related to the laundry and dishwasher machine (in the same condition as when we moved in). We submitted references by comparing the check-in and check-out lists, and our position, asserting that there are no discrepancies, has not been addressed in any of the numerous emails. The latest email received last Friday stated that we would receive results this Monday. However, we sent another email yesterday and have yet to receive a response from Paul, the senior representative, causing additional concern.The points I wish to convey are: 1. Why haven’t we received a response regarding the evidence we submitted, questioning why we should pay for costs not in line with the contract rules? 2. Why is there a consistent delay, and why do we have to continually send emails, pleading for a response? 3. I am appealing to the stress and unfairness I am currently experiencing in this situation as a tenant with Dexters.Could you please provide assistance in resolving this matter promptly?Sincerely,Hyo Joo Lee

Good service, always clear communication. I have been renting from Dexters for more than a year. My house is under Dexters North Property Management Team, my personal property assistant is Petros. He always helps me with all my queries pretty fast and condition of property is always brilliant - regular checks of carpets, filters for AC system, maintenance etc. Actually Petros is one of those people who really want to help you if you face any issues with your flat.I am going to prolong my contract with them in a year

I lived in a Dexters new build (Ambrose House) for about 18 months from 2022-2023. Although there were some promised amenities that weren't delivered (gym, Tesco express, etc), a lower score wouldn't reflect the service we received from two attentive members of the team who went above and beyond.I was particularly impressed by Petros when he came on board. I found him personable, responsive and helpful. He and Suzy, another fabulous associate, are great members of the Dexters team and every interaction with them was pleasant. Suzy provided clear and consistent phone and email support and advice during our moving out period and Petros was proactive in ensuring we received our deposit once the necessary checks were done on our apartment.

Thank god for Natasha - can get stuff sorted

Despite many challenging situations with Dexters staff (including the out of hours helpline who were not helpful when my boiler broke during winter) and other such instances - Natasha and Saad in the Great Eastern Street branch have been the saving grace for Dexters. Since taking over, Natasha has been extremely professional, mediated resolutions that are fair between tenant and landlord and been responsive to significant issues in the flat (through no fault of anyone’s). If only Dexters had more people like Natasha.. I think tenants would enjoy their experience! Suggestion - get Natasha to lead and train all property management staff to represent tenants and landlord like she has with my situation! very impressed with Saad - he has a very good manner and etiquette in speaking to people and good customer service and strong understanding of managing issues, timelines and remediation. Again, Saad should continue to be front facing and train other colleagues.

The property was not in an ideal condition after the prior tenants' departure and required a lot of attention to bring things up to par. I would love to share my feedback on working with Stevie-Leigh and the wonderful team at Dexter's St Margarets. My partner and I had been searching high and low for 3 months for property in St. Margarets area, during which time our low mortgage offer was due to run out and we had been unfortunate enough to have been let down by another agent and seller. I contacted Dexter's, spoke to Stevie-Leigh, explained our situation and she instantly set to work. Stevie-Leigh was meticulous in her detail and really put 110% in to finding what is now the house we fell in love with, and own! She is both knowledgeable and friendly, her professionalism was clear from the get go and at no point did she try an send any properties that didn’t fit our criteria - this stood out head and shoulders for us! As time was of the essence, Stevie-Leigh helped set up viewings in really tight timescales, was super sharp and timely with all communications and helped us keep our rate and complete in 2 and a half months. Dexters - Chris McCandlish - Outstanding Property Manager

We live in Australia and Dexters have been our managing agents since 1999. Our principal contact in the firm changed to Chris McCandlish, the Head of Property Management and I have nothing but praise for his work on our behalf. So much so in fact that, only half jokingly, I told him that if he ever fancied a move 'down under', I'd definitely employ him. He's frank in his advice, active in finding the right solutions for you and rigorous in execution. Given the distance between us and the limitations imposed by the time difference, communication is all important. Chris has again set a very high bar, he's even called me a couple of times when its either been very early or very late in the UK. In summary, I can't recall a better property manager that I've dealt with, here or in the UK, in over 24 years. Chris is outstanding and I unreservedly recommend his services. If he ever left Dexter's I'd go with him.

My experience with Dexters has been great. Since I moved in to a property, whenever I have a maintenance issue, Donalina Gargrupe/Property Manager is absolutely lovely and helpful. Most recently I had a boiler issue and Dona has been very helpful and diligent, since she got my first e-mail reporting the issue. Christian Pengelly is the best ever

I am dealing with Dexters for 5 years now, and I was not happy with them like I am now because Christian Pengelly is the head of property management. He is the best property manager I have ever dealt with. He is keen to solve every problem/ concern in the quickest time he can. He even sends the required emails during the call which I explain the problem in it. If I have the choice, Christian is the manager who I hope deal with him always, not anyone else.
