Jessica is a Joy to deal with

Jessica-Joy has recently taken over coordination for my tenancy. I noticed a number of items in my rental either broken or malfunctioning because of aged appliances or routine wear and tear related breakdown.Jessica promptly arranged a site visit and verified details herself and wrote a comprehensive report to the landlord, which has resulted in the landlord successfully agreeing to fix a number of items on this list. Jessica was professional, organized, friendly in demeanour, and clear in her communication both with me and with the landlord.

Finally fix after 2 weeks of no "hot water"

I just want to thank Jessica Joy from Property Management Team. I am new to this city and rent my current apartment through a Dexter agent. However, I found there was no hot water for shower. Thanks for Jessica's timely services, my family could finally enjoy hot-water shower without boiling water myself after 2 weeks. Other than that, she also helped out on my other issues, like getting the parking license. I could totally feel her urgency of getting things done. Every time I told her about an issue, she would be able to give me a call back the day after to update me the progress and status. This is so impressive.

A total cowboy outfit. I offered on a property which was accepted only to be told 2 days later they had a better off so unless i offered my best and final it will go to the new person. This is not acceptable and a total waste of time and effort. Thank god i had not expended money on solicitors as yet.

I have just completed the sale of a flat in St Margarets that I have owned for 15 years. I was fortunate not to have a related purchase as I had purchased a house in the area (through Dexters) in 2023. Conveyancing in England is a long running affair and nothing is certain till exchange of contracts and Dexters did their utmost to keep the transaction on track and keep me updated. Harriet Normington was invariably well informed and helpful and both Harriet and Sam were patient and cheerful on the occasions I called into the office. They were excellent throughout. Two bits of advice - try to find a good local solicitor (as I did) rather than a remote conveyancing firm so you can speak in person if necessary. Secondly, query whether any indemnity policies demanded by the buyer's lawyer are really necessary. They asked for two which would have been a total waste of nearly £1,000!! But many thanks to Dexters and especially Harriet - you provided a top service which was certainly five plus stars!!

Always ask for Nadia, words cannot describe her tenacity in securing your dream property. After having to deal with a bunch of bumbling agents for months on end and getting nowhere, dealing with Nadia was a breath of fresh air. She was on the ball from day 1, she literally got me, the perfect flat in 3 days of our first conversation. 10 min walk from bank station, unheard off. She’s absolutely brilliant. She even put in so much time after hours to make sure things run smoothly, she was unbelievably helpful, charismatic, and just genuinely stunning all round. Definitely recommend.

Waste of Time

I was looking for a flat to rent through Dexter. Even the agent has already got my account number for holding deposit and asked me to fill out an application, they still arrange viewings and turn the offer into a game of blind bidding. Unless you have endless time and unlimited budget, property search with Dexter is a waste if time.

The overall experience is not good

The overall experience of dealing with Dexters estate agents is not very pleasant. I was looking for a new apartment to rent and after viewing the property sent in my offer on the apartment. First of all, I do not understand why they need my card details straight away - even when there is no certainty about which of the offers the landlord would choose. In my experience, it is not needed when dealing with other estate agents, up until the point your offer is accepted. What is more, I was not very pleased to receive phone calls asking whether I would want to offer more money for the property and confirming whether my reply is indeed "my best and final offer". Thirdly, never hearing back from the agents as to the landlords decision and just having to guess that since no one had bothered reaching out it meant I did not get the apartment. Overall experience is quite poor. There is definitely a sense of them trying to get the most out of you and not bothering to provide good service.Now that I have guessed that my offer was not successful, I am even more unhappy about the fact that they still keep my card details for no reason whatsoever.
