I would not recommend this agency at all. I viewed a flat and they asked me to pay two and a half months’ rent as a deposit before my references were even completed. They also requested an excessive amount of documents. My salary was more than enough for a one-bedroom property, yet they still insisted on a guarantor. I provided everything they asked for, and after almost 8 days, the move-in date finally arrived. On the very morning I was supposed to collect the keys, they cancelled the agreement. It has now been four days and I still haven’t received my refund. I secured a new home elsewhere using the exact same documents, with no guarantor required. Working with this company was a complete waste of time.

It was a great decision to choose Dexters for renting out our flat in Richmond. Apart from their high street presence and visibility, the team at Dexters make a genuine difference to letting out our home. They keep on top of every little thing - making sure enough notice is given before a viewing to following up after one. Not many agents do this. Friendly, warm and approachable, they always make you feel that they are there for you. Andrew, Alex, Cadi, Noah and everyone I dealt with in the team were professional and well trained - both the regulatory and softer side of lettings. We are first time landlords and had many teething queries and one an hour emails - they never lost their patience and handled all my concerns with direct replies, emailed confirmations and within a short period of time. Andrew and Cadi were available round the clock, Monday through Saturday for every little concern/query that could arise. Our property was vacant for just three days between moves. They put us in contact with the tenant so that we could manage their expectations as well. They handled all the Gas safety/professional cleaning for us and it was good. I recommend Dexters for both landlords and tenants as I am sure our tenants are happy too. Thank you very much!

However, Dexters Richmond pulled out all the stops to give us appropriate advice, quickly conducting viewings and liaising with potential buyers, going above and beyond in the conveyancing process to get the sale across the line. Nick Blair and Alistair Maclean in particular were a huge support to us throughout and despite the issues we had made it as painless as possible.
