My moving in date should have been an exciting day but instead, I was handed the keys to an uninhabitable flat. Knowing that they hadn’t even checked the flat when the previous tenant moved out just 3 days prior, the guys at the East Twickenham branch of Antony Roberts happily took my money and handed the keys over to me. I was shocked to discover that not only had the flat not been cleaned at all, but in addition to the broken floors and unlockable doors, the flat was in a bad state.When I informed the agent of my shock, I was made to feel like I was in the wrong and treated like a bad, annoying tenant. It took 11 days into my tenancy for everything to be put right. All the while, the agent kept reminding me (not in so many words) that they are doing me the favour of getting the flat fixed up. They accepted no responsibility and still expect to take a full month’s rent form me.Even when I took this further to senior management, they apologised that I felt the way I did (how patronising?), but again took no responsibility for the failings of the letting agent. They obviously sided with their team again, still expecting a full month’s rent despite the flat only being habitable for 2 thirds of the month. I’m very disappointed in the way senior management dealt with (or didn’t in this case) my grievances.A despicable company to engage with, I urge everybody to steer clear and go to a company where you will be treated with the respect you deserve as a paying customer whether you’re a tenant or a landlord

Richmond Lettings - Very poor serviceAfter selling our own house, we made the mistake of renting a house from AR in Richmond. We paid the full asking price for a property sat next to a house that had just been sold by AR. Within a week we were living next to a noisy and dirty building site, which lasted for over 8 months. It seems at the very least odd that communication between the sales and lettings teams was so poor that no one knew this was planned nor had the basic honesty or professionalism to warn potential tenants. On top of this, so called management service from the lettings team was more than basic, essentially taking orders / passing on messages from inexperienced landlords, without applying the necessary professional management that should be expected. When we left the property, the landlords claimed we had damaged the floors, which we dismissed thanks to photographic evidence in the check-in report showing that the damage was pre-existing to our tenancy, but we had to spend time going through the report ourselves, and had to send the evidence twice before our deposit was finally returned in full. Overall our experience was extremely poor, from start to finish.

I have never posted a review about an estate agent as rarely have they ever matched up to desired expectations but this small independent company are actually what an estate agent should be. They worked hard to secure viewings and were able to generate a steady stream. Russell who is quite frankly, outstanding, would ring me with short calls to update me on progress. He was upbeat, enthusiastic and cheerful and realistic and good at chasing the other parties when required. We sold my property fairly quickly, and were satisfied with the price. This small company is what an Agency should be like.

Antony Roberts estate agents managed our rental property exceptionally well in St Margarets. Andrea Clark and Alison Wren’s professional expertise, knowledge and great attention to detail made them so uniquely placed to help me through out, from their first visit to the property. During the challenging times of Covid 19, they dealt with all the queries and all other matters with sensitivity and thoughtfulness. Communication was always prompt, clear , consistent and thoroughly efficient. I would very highly recommend them to all prospective clients.Valsa

Our house selling process lasted a lengthy period due to Covid restrictions. However at no point did we feel despondent as the staff at Antony Roberts were always professional and upbeat about the process. We particularly appreciated the speedy feedback following viewings - even if the viewing didn’t progress to a sale. The staff were very professional and gave us confidence that the ‘right’ buyer would come along. And they did! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their house selling services.

A huge thank you to the team at Antony Roberts for selling our house, one person in particular was outstanding and that was Mark Wright. He remained professional, proactive and supportive during what was a frustrating process and his skills nudged it over the finish line when we thought that nothing could be done to progress the sale. He was always positive, honest and direct with his information and I know he spent many hours (outside of the normal office hours) to progress this sale.I would highly recommend Antony Roberts to whomever asks, and we WILL be using their services again as in a couple of years it is our intention to buy another property in Kew.Once again, a massive thank-you to all and Mark, you are a superstar.

I have used Antony Roberts Property Management services for many years and have found them to be an outstanding lettings agency. They get a good rental price and find tenants quickly, they find reliable tradesmen to do any work required at competitive prices and their friendly, efficient staff are easy to get hold of and always a pleasure to work with. I have worked with a number of lettings agencies over the years and Antony Roberts are easily the best that I have come across.

It's been quite a long process involving one lost buyer, one lost purchase, and lots of delays (none of which caused by Antony Roberts!), but Jordan at Antony Roberts has been superb throughout. Very supportive and keeping everyone happy and calm and pulling the right direction to get the sale/purchase over the line. Estate agents can have a bad name but the usual stereotypes do not apply to Jordan - we would highly recommend him and all of his colleagues that we dealt with over the last 10 or so months. Anthony Roberts did an outstanding job on our house sale. The first buyers pulled out suddenly and they put the deal back together with a second buyer straight away thus keeping our chain intact. They did all of this in the teeth of a recession, with interest rates rising and confidence in the housing market falling. Our agent was Simon Welford who was a gentleman and consummate professional throughout. Big love.
