GoogleWe used house and co to sell our property. Having met Jon at another house viewing and explaining our troubles selling our house, he quickly came over to assess what the problem may be. We did as he recommended and then put the house on the market with them. Needless to say it was not an easy process due to covid, but the house was sold and at a price we were happy with, thanks to Meghan selling and Jon's recommendations.
Jess took over the rest of the process and couldn't have been better. We had a fairly awkward buyer and Jess managed that situation very well, and kept my anxieties at bay.

GoogleWe had the experience of looking at a house with Hannah. She was lovely and had a lot of patience while we looked around the house. She answered all questions and was genuine enough to take our queries to the Landlady.
Hannah promised us contact regarding our questions and at times when my partner & I became impatient and rang for the answers we would always find Hannah was waiting herself. When Hannah was given feedback or additional information she would communicate it with my partner consistently.
When it came to referencing there were worrying moments yet Hannah didn't feel like a distant professional who disapproved - instead she supported us by informing us what we needed to make the process easier and as quick as possible. I knew I wanted this to be our family home to rent long term and I think Hannah personally invested her professionalism in order to cater to us the best she could. GoogleMy experience buying with House and Co started off well, they managed to get me in last minute for a viewing on a property, they were very friendly and the viewing was fine.
However after having an offer accepted, I thought the service went somewhat downhill. Often I’d have to chase up emails or phone calls after getting silence back from my messages. I raised this with one of the managers who briefly took on my purchase and instead of an apology, was told I shouldn’t send an email and expect a reply within hours (even though I would be lucky to get a reply within a number of days). Once he took over my purchase I did get faster replies but it shouldn’t have to get to that stage. Felt like I was forever chasing them for answers. Even on the day I completed, I had to call up to see if my keys were released as they hadn’t contacted me (they had been released to me). After the offer had been accepted their interest seemed to waiver.
I also put an offer in on the basis that I wanted to complete by a certain date or I’d want to revisit the offer. When that date came, they told me they could put it back on the market and get more for it if they really wanted to. Didn’t ever really feel valued with house and co, I’ve had friends that have recently moved and the estate agents have checked up on them after a few days to check everything is ok, got them a bottle of something when they moved in and called them the second their keys were ready, small touches that make a difference. I wouldn’t choose to use house and co if I were to sell the property, after the experience of buying through them.

Hi Ben and thank you for reviewing our business. Having taken the time to look at your purchase we are disappointed by the points you have made. We have two full time and very experienced progressors looking after our sales (Jess and Ria) you will see these names mentioned frequently in many of our reviews. We pride ourselves on our communication and I can only assume any delays you have experienced were caused by us having to continually wait for updates on the onward purchase as this was the issue holding up the sale. I can understand how frustrating this was for you, however it was very much out of our hands.
When you made your initial offer, you were informed that the Vendor would be buying on and therefore you would be involved in a chain. Unfortunately the property our Vendor decided to buy via another agent was tenanted. The tenants of the said property were unable or unwilling to move out voluntarily, therefore a legal process was commenced to remove them from this property. This situation was completely out of our control and you were updated throughout, as the time dragged on you requested a significant price reduction which is within your right to do. At this point the sale was passed back to our sales department (We do not have managers within the company) and we approached our Vendor with your proposition. They declined your offer and stated if you were not happy to proceed on the original basis the property would be placed back on the market. This is very much part of the normal house buying process, if they had decided to re-market the property, it would have achieved substantially more at that point than your original offer. Therefore you decided to proceed with your original offer price and the sale was passed back to Ria to progress in the normal manner.
Regarding the keys on the day of completion, you were informed when we were informed by the solicitor. And unfortunately we do not have a budget for bubbly we prefer to put the money towards employing fantastic, professional and dedicated staff.
I am not sure what to say regarding the fact that you never felt valued by House + Co? Our overwhelmingly positive reviews would indicate that other clients feel differently, however we respect your opinion and would like to apologise that we made you feel this way.

Dave from House & Co was the 2nd Agent that we met with, but we decided to appoint them on the spot. Dave was extremely knowledgeable and professional, he explained everything very clearly which was really helpful considering we were first time landlords. it was clear that House & Co understood the local market and had the size and expertise to fully manage our property, as well as getting it let within a reasonable time. I was confident that they would deliver on their promises and within a day or so the house was on the market. We had 4 viewings immediately and from those initial viewing a tenant was agreed. Throughout the referencing process we were kept informed and up-to-date. The house has now been let and is being fully managed by the team at House & Co.
