We used House & Co to buy our first home. We cannot speak highly enough of the sales team, they were always at the other end, keeping us updated throughout. We dealt mostly with Jess and she really did make the process go smoothly. The only downfall was Nick from the mortgage side. From our accepted offer Nick made it clear we could only have our offer accepted if we took a mortgage out through House & Co. As first time buyers we weren't sure of the processes or if this was allowed. Luckily we went through a broker who has dealt with this a few times with House & Co and knew how to avoid us needing todo this. So just be wary as a first time buyer they will try to push themselves on you. Other than the above our process was quick and all in all was completed in under 3 months!

The estate agents were very responsive which I appreciated and always replied to my queries in good time. Jess was very helpful throughout our purchase, I can't fault her service or that of the sales team. Thank you! What could be improved is the tone taken by the mortgage advisor side of the business- the person we spoke to was very pushy in trying to persuade us to use them as a mortgage broker and that in fact had the opposite effect and made us go with someone else. I would suggest taking a different tone with prospective customers. Overall my experience of house and co was very positive- as I say the estate agent and sales team were great the whole way through. My experience of houseandco has been absolutely amazing. Everyone that I came across that worked there would always do everything they could to help, and often went above and beyond expectations. This was particularly the case where all solicitors involved seemed to be fairly clueless, and I felt houseandco did a lot more to help the process move along than the solicitors did. Particular thanks to Ria and Jess who did a lot of work around trying to smooth over complications along the way with both selling and buying and were constantly available to offer support and advice. I really cannot recommend Victoria @ House & Co enough. I’ll start by saying she came highly recommended to me by a family member who also recently secured her mortgage through her so I trusted her judgement. Victoria took me through the whole mortgage application process, explained to me how everything works (including getting on a video call to show me why she made certain decisions) and secured me a great rate! Much better than a lot of my friends who have also bought houses. Also, everything was completed within the space of a week. Within 16 hours of my offer being accepted, she had submitted my mortgage application and negotiated a great deal as I had a slightly complex situation with my employment. However, mortgage aside, Victoria was incredible to deal with and has an infectious personality. She was probably happier than I was when my offer was accepted on a BS6 house (highly sought after area with A LOT of competition) and talked me through the entire house buying process, advised on how much to offer etc and educated me on the Bristol housing market. She went so much further than just being a ‘mortgage advisor’. She was a friend & an educator. In addition, she was extremely responsive to all my messages (even on weekends) and performed all her work with such enthusiasm. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Victoria and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to secure a jargon free mortgage. I’ll finish off by saying, I can’t wait to have her round for a celebratory dinner upon completion.

We used house and co to sell our property. Having met Jon at another house viewing and explaining our troubles selling our house, he quickly came over to assess what the problem may be. We did as he recommended and then put the house on the market with them. Needless to say it was not an easy process due to covid, but the house was sold and at a price we were happy with, thanks to Meghan selling and Jon's recommendations.
