Been a tenant with John Shepherd for over 7 years with no issues and recently moved into our second property with them, any repairs have always been dealt with promptly and efficiently, and staff always respond quickly and couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. Sam at Burton branch is amazing, extremely trustworthy and genuine and always willing to help as best as she can. Can’t fault anything.

I have been with John Shepherd for a number of years and I have always found them to be completely efficient and reliable. They respond immediately when there is something to be dealt with and then deal with it! I have always been happy with the contractors they use. They take things seriously. I am currently dealing with Lara Soars at she has been very easy and pleasant to deal with, as well as being super efficient and responsive. We have never had a bad experience with any member of staff we have dealt with.

I think the culture in this company must be bad in order to explain the way Im being messaged like I’m in a WhatsApp group with a system that is so impersonal and inaccessible to my blind husband. I strongly dislike the attitude of suspicion that seems to be held against tenants as there’s a dismissiveness at every turn. I’ve had threatening emails like I’m desperate to break the terms of my tenancy or I’m told things will be happening in the place where I live with my family whether I’m there or not like wanting to be present in my own home when repairs are being done is something no one wants to do?!! I feel there’s a real discriminatory attitude going on where tenants are assumed to be unreliable untrustworthy and unimportant. I’ve also been micromanaged about appointments for the repairs! I don’t want to live like this when the house was under xaxct lettings they had a much more personal response and they actually cared about making your home safe place to enjoy living at John Shepherd you are treated like you’re a drain not happy at all.

I am a first time renter so I was pretty clueless going into the process. I ended up viewing and being offered a property with John Shepard. My experience with them has been great & I don’t think I’d change the estate agent I am with. I have dealt with Claire, Vijay & Caitlin. Claire made my moving process so easy & Caitlin has been fantastic with any issues I have had. I am lucky for a first time renter to have had such a positive experience. Thank you guys so much. Would highly recommend these guys.

An unimaginable nightmarish experience with this despicable company. As a tenant I would not believe this could happen in England with all the laws that are meant to protect tenants. Where do I start? Unlawful repossession in a pandemic. Illegal entry to the property, taking my post, sending photos of it to me, harassment, threats, sending weird contractors to spy on and sexually harass me. Staff are awful. Think they are professionally qualified legal representatives when they are estate agents. Diabolical attitude towards tenants. Problems from day one. It meant to be fully managed but always refered me to the landlord for repairs, which did not get done. Not to mention there scam reposit scheme. That is pushed on to and miss sold to tenants. I'm not through dealing with them as I'm trapped in an awful mess trying to get out of the nightmare that is John Shepherd Lettings. I suggest tenants stay clear of this agency especially vulnerable people or single womanEdit. In response to the underneath reply by John Shepherd. I tried to raise a complaint on several occasions but my complaint was refused to be looked into. I have it all in writing. They are 100 per cent aware of this matter.
