The sale of a Grade two listed building over 400 years old.

The Redditch Branch. A professional team, all proactive with the sale. I couldn't find fault with any aspect, from photos, to feed back on viewings and finally negotiating a price, I was kept uptodate constantly. Three members of staff left during the sale, Matthew Reynolds and Grace Martin and Glen who took the photographs. I was concerned that the new team wouldn't be able to compete with the standard...they did! A seemless exchange of information which resulted in the sale. There were many hurdles with the sale and I must admit it felt never ending, due to issues out of Andrew Grants hand, however I have exchanged and completed. I would like to thank Grace Martin for all her time and effort I am really impressed with her capabilities for negotiating me such a good price and her endless patience. This is the second time I have sold a house with Andrew Grant and I wouldn't contimplate using anyone else.

Are Estate Agents needed in todays digital age?

In a world where every service or product is pushed online or delivered by an automated system you could ask yourself "Are Estate Agents needed anymore?", especially taking into account competitive online companies like Purple Bricks. In a nutshell Shelley, Sarah (Conveyancing) and Glen at Andrew Grant were "invaluable" with the negotiations, questions, updates, unlimited phone calls and emails. They were both the Seller and Buyer and the sale most definitely wouldn't have gone through if it wasn't for the team at Andrew Grant Redditch.....I cant thank them enough for the professionalism that answers the opening question. One final note - before you think this reviewer might be some older guy who isn't at the forefront of digital - I own and run a creative digital agency!

Brilliant from start to finish!

We decided to go with Andrew Grant with both sale and purchase, and what a good choice that was! They were brilliant from start to finish and we couldn't fault them at all! During the process the communication was also very good and we never waited long for email replies etc. Everyone that we dealt with was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us! Although we had a very stressful moving day Andrew Grant did everything they could to help (even finding us another Van to use on the day at very short notice)! We appreciate everything you did for us, especially Grace and Glenn, thank you so much for helping us, we couldn't of done it without you!

I want everyone to look at these PHOTOGRAPHS I’ve attached to this post. This is our flat that we rent from Andrew Grant. Our flat is severely infested with dangerous black mould. I have a 6-month PREGNANT fiancée! Her doctor and midwife have informed us that it’s not safe for her or the baby to be exposed to mould spores. We have both developed severe coughs. After we’ve made numerous complaints over the months, our property manager and landlord have REFUSED to do anything and even blamed us for not keeping the heating on! Our heating is always on and we pay huge heating bills, as we can prove. I’m of course in contact with the relevant authorities over this as this flat is not safe to live in. I will also be contacting the Local Newspaper as the public need to know about this agency! I’m basically paying to live in a property that is hurting my health, my fiancée’s and my unborn child’s. The public have a right to know that Andrew Grant have no regard for their tenants and are purely concerned with grabbing their money. Simply, they’re Scammers. We’re a young couple, this is our first place we’ve lived in together and we feel like we’ve been bullied throughout our entire tenancy. No one should have to live in conditions like these, (see photos). Stay away from this scam agency.

Not as good as we had hoped

Service was great at the beginning, then Matt left.. then Grace.. swiftly followed by the personal service we were receiving. I understand it takes a while for new personnel to get to grips with all of the clients but not to know who we were or what the house details were at completion was I feel pretty lacking. My friend took the keys in for me the day before completion and the agent knew nothing about house or our name. We did not receive even a telephone call to say congratulations your property has completed. I felt it was all about the money not the service.. no personal touches.. Such a shame as always found them good in the past

Sale of Grade 2 listed cottage

Lots of early promise but not followed up with driving the sale forward. Appalling communication, sometimes upto 3 weeks between updates. AG claim to be specialists in these types of buildings but saw no evidence of this. A huge bill for very very little effort. I would never use them again. They offered no added valve over and above an online agent such as purple bricks. The office is extremely small and inpersonal meaning it's impossible to hold a private conversation and one member of staff couldn't even find our details on their system 3 days before exchange of contracts. No log in details provided for their on line property sale/ tracking portal so cannot comment on this. Hopeless. With this level of service it's no wonder online portals are taking over, saving you a huge amount of money.

Rented a property through Andrew grant. The service was terrible. I was repeatedly told that items would be emailed to me the next day and never arrived, I was constantly having to call up Andrew grant to get anything done. I would ring at 3 in the afternoon and told by the agent that he hadn't looked at his computer yet!! Absolutely terrible service, I would still be waiting on the property now if I hadn't phoned them. Will never use this company again.

Average service

Initially it went for auction. The auction took place in the wrong area. When a buyer was found the sale was not followed up and it fell through. It wasn't until their employee Grace Martin in their Redditch Office took over the sale, it was sold within 24 hours and the sale was followed through. She did more in a month than previous staff done in ten months. I do not feel service favoured costs.

Awful! Do not bother with these guys if you are a landlord. Our property was left in a complete shambles after the badly selected tenants were finally evicted. I would have thought a property agent would at least look out for your asset, and ensure the tenancy agreement was complied with, but not Andrew Grant. It would also be good if they could be honest about what services are actually included for the over-priced fees.

Ways you can improve. 1) Stick to promoting properties you are selling on your Facebook page rather than pumpkins and medieval fayres. We should not have to ask you to promote our property. 2) Put adverts in your windows rather than display screens. No-one is going to stand around for 10 mins outside your window just to see what come up on the screen. They want to quickly scan what you have for sale.
