Barkingside estate agents

This is our first house purchase and we have been very happy with Douglas Allen Barkingside branch. Ummad was the person that we first met when viewing and felt straight away that he was someone that could trust and he knew a lot about the property. There were some teething problems, however we were reassured by Ummad and Daniel. We would recommend Douglas Allen as a good all round estate agent and their local knowledge was excellent.

Excellent service from Douglas Allen, Chadwell Heath Branch

I had a really positive experience buying multiple properties with the Chadwell Heath branch of Douglas Allen, particularly in comparison to some of the other estate agents in the area. The phone was always answered, calls always returned and there was a good level of communication throughout the entire process. Ben and Emma were particularly helpful and made me feel like a valued customer. The branch run a very efficient and friendly service and come highly recommended!

We viewed a property advertised by Douglas Allen and met their Sales Negotiator Anne-Marie who has been incredibly helpful and personable. Then deciding we would make an offer and then also getting Douglas Allen to sell our property, the process has been really quick and efficient. They seem to have a large base of clients and the 'Open Viewing' day was very successful. They are not the cheapest, but if you are serious about buying or selling in Woodford Green area then I would recommend them.

Would avoid at all costs

Would avoid at all costs. Over price your house then encourage you to drop the price after a week when it has no interest.Constantly say they’re emailing and calling potential buyers, when the website statistics say different. Everything is done at a snails pace. After we switched estate agents they left the house up for sale in the window for 3 weeks even though we weren’t selling with them anymore… that’s how absent minded they are. If you want a stress free and smooth sale go with Temme English. If you want to sell your house for £20k less than it’s worth go with Alex at Douglas Allen.

Douglas Allen found a buyer for my property at the first viewing morning and the sale process is just beginning. I found Stuart Pass to be helpful and well informed, and the staff at Woodford Green personable, 'on the ball' and able to respond to enquires quickly, knowing who I was and which property I was calling about immediately - showing a well informed team. The price achieved is at the top end of that advised, and the pricing was realistic, rather than over hyped which I've found with other estate agents I've had dealings with in the past. I wanted a realistic understanding of the current housing market and my particular property and that's what I got - thank you. Fingers crossed this sale goes to completion.
