Douglas Allen, Woodford Green Branch were recommended to me by a friend, so I went to see them when I was having my flat refurbished to get an overview of the market before it was sold.
I first spoke to Khaleesha Loveday, a sales negotiator, who was extremely helpful and noted when my flat would be ready to sell.
Steve Ford, the Branch Partner, then visited me when the refurbishment was nearly finished to discuss their services and fees, which I accepted.
All of the branch's sales negotiators also visited before speaking to prospective buyers, which I felt was important for them to be fully aware of the quality of the refurbishment and positioning of my flat within the block.
They then turned up with vases of flowers early on the morning of my open house viewing to add an attractive and pleasant atmosphere, which I thought was a lovely touch.
Several offers were quickly received, which Steve then managed to increase until I was able to accept the best one.
The sale took a bit longer to complete than initially expected, due to our block changing managing agents, and an important document being overlooked by the lawyers, despite Keith Langford, the sales liaison highlighting its need at an early stage.
This was very frustrating, but both Keith and Steve worked tirelessly to help finalise everything as quickly as possible.
I can thank Douglas Allen for having sold my flat for the highest price ever achieved in my block, and am now able to look forward to moving abroad.
Their staff were the most helpful and friendly estate agents, whom I have ever met, and with their professional approach made my sale a huge success !

We recently completed on a property sale exactly one year after our buyer made their offer. The sale was managed by Maureen Forde and her team in the East Ham branch, who showed remarkable patience in the face of stubborn tenants, protracted legal proceedings, and occasional angry emails from me! We were looked after by three Sales Progressors, all of whom were proactive, respectful and sympathetic. I would definitely recommend Douglas to anyone looking to sell in E6 and E16.

We signed up with another local estate agent and after some viewings we accepted and offer below the asking price but as we needed to move forward with a new build. After 4 weeks we discovered that the buyers couldn't get a mortgage, and the estate agent had known this for over a week before we found out.
Contacted Douglas Allen (Chingford) and Glenn was round the following Wednesday with lots of encouragement and an action plan. And true to his word we had people queuing out the door on the Saturday! twenty odd viewings and 3 offers. Over the next few days we had more viewings and another offer.
Offer then accepted and all go on the new build, we can't thank all the staff at Douglas Allen for the professional and excellent service they have provided to us. I know there are cheaper options out there but for the peace of mind and brilliant service they provided there is no doubt in my mind they would be my first choice.

This company contacted me when I was searching for property and asked if I was intending to sell, would I like a valuation. Within a few days someone came to my flat, valued it and suggested terms for selling which were agreed. I was expecting viewings to go on for some weeks but the interest that was created meant that an acceptable offer was made after about a week and a half. There was some communication problem for a while but this was due to their Dalston office closing at short notice. Now things are going well and the sale is proceeding and communication is good.

We were told that Douglas Allen were the best agents to sell our property, and that by using them we would have a stress free experience, high customer care and professionalism at all times! Having lived in our home for 39 years, and having to move only because of mobility problems, a stress free experience and top class customer care were top of our agenda, unfortunately Douglas Allen have not delivered, and now we are tied into a 20 week contract, having to just make the best of a bad situation, for which we have to pay for the privilege of poor customer service, endless excuses and anything but "STRESS FREE"! Saying all that, there is one member of staff who has stopped us from going totally insane, (thank you Ian).

We short listed 2 agents to consider putting our house on the market with. Was considering the idea of an open house as described by your employee. However the administration process that should have followed was shocking. I had to chase on 2 occasions for the letter by post or email that confirmed the valuation, which to this day, several weeks later has never arrived. The email never arrived and all I received was a one liner giving the valuation amount. Not very professional at all. I would be paying Douglas Allen to do all the work, not expect to have to chase up. Not a good impression. The star rating above is not totally accurate. Their was no friction during the meeting, however it was an inadequate experience.
