Steve was excellent from start to finish in selling our tenanted investment property. Steve liaised with the tenant to make sure the property was well presented and a figure slightly higher than the sale price originally thought was achieved within 4 days of going on the market. We never had to chase Steve for an update as the sale went through, as he kept us informed every step of the way, until completion was achieved. Have not had many good words to say about estate agents in the past, but Steve is very much is the exception. My partner and I approached Bob Gutteridge to put an offer in on a house last year. We were very unhappy with the way that the member of staff, Gill, managed our offer and her general treatment of us. Gill was very rude and dismissive every time we spoke. When we took in proof of deposit Gill expressed how surprised she was that we had the deposit money! This is very presumptous and insulting as we worked and saved very hard to get a deposit together for a house. We felt that her attitude and treatment of us was due to the fact that we were first time buyers and young. We were very hurt by her response to us. Needless to say that we went on to purchase a house through another estate agents who were lovely every step of the way, we have now been in our home for almost 12 months and if we were ever to sell in the future we would not use this estate agents.

Our sale stalled due to some surveyor associated challenges but Steve engaged directly and was pivotal in getting things moving forward, he really does personally invest in making a sale happen for both the purchaser and vendor. We recently used Bob Gutteridge for both the sale of our current home and purchase of our new home. They were fast in all areas. We had a valuation the day after my initial call and Steve was great. He gave us a fair and calculated valuation and guided us in the correct way to market our home. He took some amazing photographs and both RightMove and Bob Gutteridge's sites were updated a day after agreeing to use them as our estate agent. Purchasing through Bob Gutteridge was a similar process too and Gill who managed our sale and purchase was clear and very accommodating to our questions and willing to help with any issues met. Our sale and purchase took near enough 8 weeks to complete, which from watching others in similar situations, is very quick. I would definitely recommend the use of Bob Gutteridge for the sale or purchase in the Stoke on Trent area! Steve and his team are definitely one of the best around the local areas.
