I’ve been using Chase Buchanan to Manage two properties for me for the last year and I’ve been very pleased with the services. I had been self managing my properties for the last ten years but after a horrible and stressful experience with a tenant who stopped paying their rent and with all the new legislation it has been such a relief to turn over the management to a dedicated team with all the right experience and qualifications. Although additional fees have been offset by Chase getting a good rental income on both properties and the money spent has been well worth it for peace of mind.

The team at Chase Buchanan have been superb, particularly Anna and Adele. Within 1 week of being on the market they secured 7 offers between £25,000 under asking price and £15,000 over. I’ve just exchanged at £15k over asking price. It was a complicated sale due to a private road, a restriction on the property deeds and some very specific mortgage conditions but the team at Chase Buchanan pulled out all the stops and got the sale over the line. I’m very happy and would definitely use Chase Buchanan again!

I purchased a property through Chase Buchanan. The agent was Adele Basma. Throughout the process, Adele was honest, responsive and professional. It was a pleasure to deal with her and Chase Buchanan, especially since i had just been through a bad experience with a different agency, like many others (begins with D ;( ). Chase Buchanan handled the sale of my mum's cottage in Hampton Hill over the summer. I’d moved out of the area years ago, so had no local market knowledge, hadn’t sold a house in years, so didn’t really know how to start! Anna Masters filled in all those gaps by providing valuable market insight, helping me weigh up the pros and cons of selling v renting it out and gave tips on the right time and way to market it. I was never made to feel like I was taking up too much of her time. Another bonus of using Chase Buchanan was their lettings side were able to put me in touch with handypersons who did a couple of small jobs on the house prior to marketing it, at much more reasonable rates than I'd managed to find independently.From there, Adele Basma arranged viewings and handled the sale. It's quite a unique property with communal access around the garden, which wouldn't be suitable for everyone, but I had an offer within two to three weeks. Throughout the whole process, Adele was absolutely great. Proactive, knowledgeable, very responsive and great at providing a reassuring feeling everything would be okay. She was a great conduit between the two sets of solicitors ensuring everyone was kept up to date throughout.Sometimes estate agents have a bit of a bad rep but I felt like I was working with genuinely lovely people who had both mine and the buyer’s best interests at heart. They clearly know and understand the local area and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Selling can be a stressful time and they really did a great job of making it as pain free as possible.

During the 7years that I have been a landlord I have employed Whitton and Lang and now Chase Buchanan in Exeter as agents to manage my flat. During that time they have always been extremely efficient and supportive in all apects of management. In particular Lianna Pitsakis has co ordinated and liased and managed several projects with my flat which has been extremely satisfactory and has always been extremely good with communication. We used Chase Buchanan to sell our flat in East Twickenham and would choose them again. We commenced their services in April, had an offer by June, and completed in September. We chose CB over several well-known competitors and are happy we made the right choice. I found dealing them to be relaxed and far less pushy than some competitors (and a more reasonable commission to boot).Alessandro took over our listing in late April and worked hard and ultimately found some committed buyers who were great to deal with, leading to a smooth sale. Our tenancy was extremely stressful from the start. We were given the flat after a major leak, which had not been fully dealt with. The issues appeared to have been covered up and freshly painted over. It took most of the summer for the walls and flooring underneath to dry out and for the musty smell to go away. We even had to buy and run a dehumidifier for weeks at our own expense to help with the moisture and smell. The landlord did not help, and once the contract had been signed, we felt the agency showed very little interest in the problem. We then faced ongoing noise from the upstairs neighbours, with very poor sound insulation in the flat. Again, there was little the agency could do, and we had to remain in the 1 year fixed tenancy. After many sleepless nights, the tenancy finally came to an end. When we moved out, we were then faced with a £217.80 deduction from our deposit for decorating work that we disputed. We were responsible for the issues being claimed and provided evidence to support our position. After months of waiting, the dispute was finally decided by an independent TDS adjudicator. The adjudicator awarded the landlord only 37% of the disputed amount, meaning 63% was returned to us. For us, this was never just about the money. It was the stress of having to defend ourselves against things we did not cause, followed by months of waiting for the outcome. We took care of the property and had hoped to finish the tenancy on good terms. We tried to resolve things directly and provided substantial evidence, even an offer was sent to the landlord, but unfortunately the overall experience left us extremely disappointed. Even on our final day, the agency did not turn up to collect the flat keys because they had apparently mixed up our move-out date with the following month. We therefore had to drive to their office ourselves and drop the keys off the following day. Based on our experience, we would not rent through this agency again.

Had a horrible experience with chase buchanan property management team. The staff behaviour was good during check in and throughout the stay of 2 years at the property. But things changed as soon as we asked them to serve the notice. There was a lot of miscommunications from the agent involved which resulted us paying extra month’s rent and bills. There were multiple occasions when the agent has reneged on the initial agreements.From my experience I can say they don’t act professionally when you are leaving and are more concerned in looking for a replacement tenant.
