Please avoid and find another agent. The valuation was all good and chase ups came thick and fast to get us to put our house up for sale. 6 months on and not one call or chase up. Absolutely no communication skills at all. If they deal with buyers the same way then they will sell next to nothing. My wife and I have sold maybe 20 houses over the years and without doubt this has been the worst agent so far even after making allowances for Covid issues. Doesn’t deserve a 1 star review but that’s lowest you can give.

I am a mortgage advisor, and so, professionally, i must deal with quite a few agents. I also went through personally,over 40 properties in all my life, residential and buy to let, and i think this make me quite an expert in this trade.I really don't have any doubt in saying that Sharman Quinney has been one of the best experiences i had till now. Not just professionalism but also deep personal commitment from any single member of staff. Keep receiving calls saying my property is up for rent. My house has never been advertised for rentals. I've explained on numerous occasions that they must have the wrong house number or address and to remove mine from their list.

TrustpilotI was renting a house from Sharman…
I was renting a house from Sharman Quinney for year and half. I paid them my deposit and a rent for the first month. When I moved in there were problems with the heating (I moved in November). I asked the agency to fix it but they told me that the landlord didn't opt for their maintenance and that I need to contact the landlord about any issues with the house. Since then I was paying the rent to the landlord directly. The landlord was not maintaining the house properly/or not responding to reported issues at all. The boiler was constantly going into error mode. The bath started to leak after a year and for the next half of year we were not able to use it. I was lucky to eventually bought a house for my family and move out, but this is not the end of the nightmare. The agency is keeping my deposit (for 4 weeks now) and the landlord is accusing me of doing damages to the house I have not done. He priced the damages to the amount of the deposit.Stay away from Sharman Quinney as they are co-operating with very rogue landlords.

Avoid this dodgy agent in peterborough. Rude staff dont know how to engage with there customers . They will only want to deal with you if they benefit otherwise they will fob you off.. Do yourself a favour AVOID! Especially PETERBOROUGH branch!

TrustpilotPestered by the Cambridge office to get me to use them to sell my father's house
Didn't actually use them to sell my father's house, but got them to value it for probate. This seemed to go OK, but I was then rung up a number of times over a number of weeks by the Cambridge office, trying to get me to use them to sell the house, suggesting that they would just come round and take some photos, asking which solicitors I would be using, etc., etc., even when I told them repeatedly that I wasn't yet in a position to sell. It did them no favours at all. I didn't get this from other firms who also came and did probate viewings.

A very generous 1 star, I am the landlord of a property. which I employ Sharman Quinney and as soon as I signed the contract the incompetence came to the surface, within a month the laziness showed and by the end of month 2 the term "passing the book" would be a good description.

Vile vile vile company the senior letting manager is beyond rude who continually over speaks you and will openly argue with you. Any issues are always made to feel are your fault - we absolutely love our home but are leaving because of the utter disgraceful customer service from them. Interestingly most of the poor reviews are down to the customer service which I feel speaks volumes about them...it proves it’s them with the issue..

DO NOT USE SHARMAN QUINNY IN STAMFORD!!!! our landlord was unfortunately selling the property we had been in 10 years so it was a really tough time for us and we needed a property ASAP!! so we found a property not far from where we currently where and instantly fell in love with it, unfortunately the property was being let by Sharman Quinney, little did we know how terrible our experience was going to be.For starters the agent turned up late to the viewing and didn’t even introduce herself so we didn’t know her name until my dad had to ask her what her name was. My dad asked what the next steps were and instantly wanted to put a holding deposit down as he loved the property and we were running out of time to get a place, the agent said she had to contact the landlord and would get back to us straight away. 2 weeks later, after multiple chasing of the agent and hearing nothing and just being told the agent wasn’t available every time we rang, we finally got the go ahead from the agent.We were just happy to have the property we wanted, even though the agent was rude and belittling. so we got in the property and as a few weeks went by a few things started popping up, like having no hot water, no heating, problems with the pump in the shower, which my dad had to fix himself with his own money as Sharman Quinney were not responding, we moved in the the house in September it is now November and only just had somebody come out to look at the boiler. We have now been told there has been a gas leek since we moved in which we didn’t know about, we have no evidence of any gas safety ( no paper copy of any documents in paper form when we collected keys) so we are now back to no hot water or heating as we have had to turn the boiler off as it’s seriously dangerous.We have had no help, nobody within the Lettings team in that Stamford branch care about the service they are providing to there customers, it’s disgusting and unprofessional.

Avoid Avoid Avoid at all cost! Put our property up for sale, loads of promises what they were going to do, how many people they had waiting to view our property. Talked into a sole agency, got all signed up then NOTHING not one view in months. Tried to talk to them to progress things and just received arrogant responses. No Not Use!

Very casual and unprofessional behaviour!!!. Lost my daughters keys and asked her to let them into her property, Sharman Quinney arrived late and the viewer was nowhere to be seen. The estate agent then rang the would be viewer, who wanted to reschedule, but this was too late!!!, time had been taken off work and these estate agents are unreliable and come up with every excuse for their lax behaviour!!!. DO NOT use them!!!. My daughter has been on their books six months and this was the first viewing in that time, which they still couldn't get right!!!!!.

Terrible letting agency, would never recommend them. Staff are not helpful at all and don't seem to care. Spent 1 year as a tenant with them and it was more than enough. Never replied back to emails or call me back. Don't pursue to sort issues out. We was chasing constantly, we ended up waiting around for viewings that never happened. Was even asked on one occasion to show a tenant round as they had double booked then didn't show anyway! Even if its the home of your dreams I would avoid at all costs.

GoogleAVOID - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL people at this office are the reason why estate agents get a bad name. Got shown a property by 12 year old looking michael theobald, thinking he was something special in his flash suit but still lives with his parents. I straight away made an offer and brought the paperwork they asked for the next morning. Was then told they didn't pass over the offer because it's a Saturday but not to worry because no one else has seen the house. i wait 3 days and call them only to be told the property has been sold. How unprofessional is that, they didn't even have the courtesy to let me know about my offer.

Whittlesea branch I think. Unprofessionalism from the rental dept from exactly the day after I signed the contract, as landlord I can't believe these people are employed. Incompetent, unprofessional, lazy, most definitely need to learn the difference between advice and threatening behaviour on their part.

FacebookI don’t really appreciate bits of paper saying “ for internal use only” being put through my letter box with a pie chart on it slating the company I am using to sell my property! Who by the way have already sold my property within a week! This has certainly put me off wanting to use you in the future, not a very professional approach! I have received excellent service with my estate agent choice and don’t need to be bothered by nuisance post thank you

FacebookReally disappointed in our first experience with Sharman Quinney. We booked a viewing for 17:30 and booked to take time out of work to be at the appointment. We waited for over an hour and no one turned up. We didn’t receive a courtesy call, we called the office who told us the agent was in her way to meet us and she never arrived. Thoroughly disappointed as we were very excited about the property we wanted to view and we had everything in place to put an offer in.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
