100% recommend Connells. Sheridan is indeed the man, couldn't fault the service that was provided. He was in contact with me during the whole buying process , chased things up for me and got the solicitors moving when things went quiet. He kept things running smoothly and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.PositiveProfessionalism

Laura Spicer arranged the mortgage for us. Great advice, helpful, fantastic communication, easy to chat with and most importantly the mortgage was arranged quickly. I always knew what was going on with the mortgage application. In addition Laura went above and beyond helping us chase another Connells branch and solicitors. I would not hesitate in recommending Laura as a mortgage consultant.

Arbas was brilliant in helping me find the right property. Understood the specifics of what I wanted, didn't flood me with properties that were irrelevant like I have experienced elsewhere. Really helpful, always willing to go the extra mile.

Worst estate agent ever. Please don't got to Connells if you are a landlord. when my tenant moved out no check was completed immediately and because of that i lost some money. They never helped me with Tenancy deposit scheme dispute, despite being with them for more than a year.

Absolutely careless staff, had arranged for viewing twice. Both the times , we ended up wasting time by going there as they couldn’t show the property because of the fault of theirs.

She guided us first time buyers with clarity of thought and decisiveness that absolutely impressed us. We would thoroughly recommend house buyers to use Connells services.

Called them for arrainging aa appointment. Talked with an agent called Jack. They told us it is their policy prior to arranging a viewing they need to see if we have the funds available to buy the house, otherwise appointment is imposible.. We have checked numerous houses with other agents prior to them non had this ridiculous policy. So if you don't have any cash or mortgoge arranged don't botter seing houses with them..NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Terrible service! 3 months gone and issues still not resolved! Cannot pass the information to the manager as his email is a big secret! And there is no option to swap the agency as bounded with the contract..

We recently just completed on our new home purchase, and if it wasn't for my knowledge of the industry and willingness to chase all parties myself, we probably wouldn't have got in our new home and the purchase would have fell through. On the day of viewing, we called up afterwards wanting to put in an Offer. We were told we had to be financially qualified by their own in-house mortgage broker, which I understand is common and a process they have to follow, however I am myself a whole of market Mortgage Broker. So I advised that I will be arranging my own mortgage and am happy to provide a copy of my AIP, deposit funds, ID, proof of address etc. I was then told I couldn't make an offer unless I had this mortgage appointment with their broker and she needed my payslips to verify my income. I advised I am aware of their process as I used to work for Connells, in that very same branch! So I am aware they only have access to a limited number of lenders and charge a £599 lifetime fee plus an admin fee, whereas I am whole of market and charge myself no fees. I also advised them that it is conditional selling to make someone use in-house services, and they then advised it was the request of the Seller to have all their offers/viewers qualified by them directly. I then walked back round to the Seller's house, who advised me they definitely did not request this and would be happy for me to make an offer and do my own mortgage. Eventually, the Senior Mortgage Sales Manager called me directly (as I used to work for him / Connells) and advised I could ignore the branch's request and continue to make my offer, which I did and it was then accepted. We then had no communication from Connells between June and most of December... so did our own chasing of solicitors, chain parties etc. A few days before we were set to exchange and complete, we found out from the Seller directly, not Connells, that there was an issue higher up in the chain which would massively delay our completion past our Mortgage Offer expiry date and would leave us having to pull out. Between us and the seller directly, we managed to convince the higher up chain parties to agree to break the chain so we could proceed with our exchange and completion on date before our Mortgage deals expired. No help from Connells in doing so. It was only then that we had a returned response from Connells (after visiting the branch in person and requesting a call back as no one in the office was able to help... to never receive the call back 2 weeks later) confirming what we already knew as we had sorted it ourselves. Luckily, as mentioned, we know the industry well so were able to navigate ourselves through the 6 month journey to completion, but I feel terribly awful for people purchasing through Connells that may be either vulnerable or just not sure on the process, as they had 0 communication with us and lacked any basic professional skills to update us at different milestones, so this must be really distressing and unnerving for others who are not so confident. I also feel terribly awful for the Seller's, who presumably paid a fair fee to Connells to sell their home and told us they also had next to no communication or guidance from them during the process and also did a lot of the leg work themselves to find out chain information etc. and definitely did not get anywhere near their money's worth. I've just bought my first property on my own. The whole team were really helpful whenever I called. I mainly dealt with Nick and he has been brilliant. Always polite and friendly. Whenever I needed to visit the property Nick made every effort to meet me there even if he was busy. Thank you guys.

Very weak, unprofessional agency. I rented a flat from this agency. During the move, it turned out that the apartment is infected with cockroaches. After a few days I moved out of this apartment. I did not receive any help from this agency or advice from this agency, they did not help in solving the situation. I lost £ 780 through this agency (rent and deposit). NEVER MORE THIS AGENCY.

I have very bad experience with this agency. In March 2020 I rented a flat from them. The flat was very dirty and infected with cockroaches. I didn't receive any help from Connells to solve the problem. After six days I moved out of this flat. I am aware that the agency's staff knew the situation in this apartment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AGENCY.
