TrustpilotGood for landlord - not for tenants!
We have had to argue, chase and repeat ourselves throughout the first month of our tenancy with Smart Exeter, just to get a working boiler during winter. The thermostat still does not work so we can’t regulate our heating and have had to move out. Smart does not take this seriously - the financial, practical, mental and physical impact on me and my young family they just act for the landlady. It is a real shame.

My daughter & partner rented a property managed by Smart. During their tenancy multiple problems arose which were ignored. Their staff lied without hesitation and it's no wonder landlords leave such positive reviews.Recently my daughter has been pursued by a scamming debt collection company who have erroneously linked her details to a British Gas supply in the property for 2 months after she left the property. British Gas probably sent a bill marked for "the Occupier", but the new tenants either didn't bother to pass the bill on to Smart, or if they did Smart because they don't keep any records don't know if they passed it on to the landlord.Such a fundamental process is clearly beyond the competence of these muppets. My daughter who is suffering with severe mental health issues now has to deal with legal threats regarding a debt she doesn't owe, but which is the responsibility of Smart/their landlord/new tenant. Let's see how Smart explain their processes to the Property Ombudsman when they have to respond to my daughter's official complaint.

I have nothing but compliments for Nina and everyone at Smart Estate Agents who help us find our new home. Nina showed us around and made sure our questions were answered and we had enough time to fully check everything out. The whole registering, referencing and moving process was then dealt with efficiently, swiftly and with a sense a genuine care. I would definitely recommend using Smart Estate Agents and Nina Savage has continued to keep us regularly informed and always been reachable and helpful.

GoogleWe had an amazing experience with Smart Estate Agents, they made every aspect of our renting very simple and understandable, and were available whenever needed for questions. All maintenance issues we notified them of were responded to incredibly quickly and fixed within a few days of reporting every time. We found Adam and Kate to be super helpful throughout the whole process.

We had a wonderful experience- we were all a little late as we came from all over the place but the women were so accommodating when moving into dracaena Ave. They took the time to be friendly and super easy to get along with all while making sure we understood the whole process. Couldn’t have asked for any more on a stressful move in day!!

It was the easiest experience to rent through the agency, made incredibly personable by the swift and friendly responses to any query. Kay Patmore has led the excellent team of Lucy and Natasha who have all gone out of their way to help. Kay has always dealt immediately and efficiently with all aspects of the rental process and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
