Professional, approachable and detailed local market knowledge

I was given 100% support and help while getting my property ready for rental, they helped me through the mine field which is private letting. Cumbria Properties and in particular Susan Mosses were professional in their speed of response, detail of explanation and thoroughness of securing the right client for us. I found them to be value for money and no request was too much, I am a fussy customer, and the staff were always available to answer my questions. I have used other letting agents previously and cannot fault Cumbria Properties, their local knowledge of the market and vast experience showed in everything they did for me.

Absolutely spot on from first visit with valuation from Sarah. She impressed me with her clear timescales for listing as well as what I could expect. We were looking for a quick sale and we were not disappointed . 24hrs from handing in paperwork we had secured both our sale and the property we wanted. AS A DISTANCE BUYER On a number of occasions failed to respond to email enquiries. On one specific property, due to poor photos, lack of a floor plan and it being uneconomical for me to visit every potential property, I requested more details (a rough floor plan or extra photos) as the layout was important. They told me they would request a rough plan from the vendor but I subsequently found out they didn't bother. For a couple of viewings with them, I travelled for over 7 hours and 300 miles making it to an appointment on time, one which THEY had specified and then altered, whereas their agent was 15 minutes late. There was an apology but no explanation. When they contacted me to conduct 'feedback' the next day and virtually hung up on me when they realised I was unlikely to buy the ones I had been shown. There was obviously no consideration of them selling to me in the future. Based on my experience as a buyer, I would not consider using them to sell a property as I would not trust that I was receiving all relevant information and that they were portraying it in the best of light.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

So far so good! Jackie valued and photographed the house ready for sale, giving clear, honest and professional insight and efficiency. Karen and her team handled the particulars, viewings and offers with professionalism, enthusiasm and efficiency, getting the sign and online details live within 2 working days. Our property sold today, above asking price and within 20hrs of it going live online! We obviously have to get through the "hard bit" now getting all the paperwork sorted but I trust that Cumbrian Properties will be there to guide and assist as required. Did they ever inspect the rental property?

We recently returned to our house after renting it out for 12 years. Cumbrian Properties managed it throughout this time, and we had three different tenants. While they arranged repairs promptly, they did not inspect the property well. We returned to find many items missing or changed. The downstairs bathroom had the radiator removed and it was turned into an extension of the kitchen - all without our knowledge. The company brushed us off. Never again will we rent this house out after this experience, and we would never use this company again.

Rightmove and asking people to reduce is their selling method

No promoting of property. No negotiation skills. Poor communication when it matters but can phone to tell you how many people have viewed on Rightmove. No concerns for the safety of their clients. Not bothered about questioning if potential viewers are in a position to buy. No consideration for pets at the property. Adrian the manager does not respond to emails addressed to him. £300 to get rid of them.

They say moving and selling houses is a very stressful time ,I for one am not going to argue That is why I was very pleased that Karen and her team at Cumbrian properties were there to make things a little easier for me.. Whenever any problem arose they tried to solve it without even telling me there was something wrong..They gave me the support that I needed during the" darker" times.
