GoogleI have been very impressed with my dealings with Carruthers and Luck Lettings Team, particularly Billy Boots, along with David Blick. The Tenant Finding Service, including the referencing and setting up tenancy agreement, was undertaken with great professionalism and efficiency. I was kept informed at all stages and given excellent timely advice.

GoogleWe recently bought and sold through Carruthers and Luck. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Kevin was fantastic throughout and responded quickly when our initial sale fell through. He advised us well with regards to solicitors and kept us in the loop along the way. The rest of the team were always on hand when needed and I found them all to be friendly and helpful. They were incredibly good value for the service we received and using a smaller local estate agent over the larger corporate companies proved to be a great choice. GoogleWe recently sold our home with C&L and even Covid-19 and lock down No.2 could not stop the team at Saltdean doing their very best for us, Mr Knox made me feel like I was selling a 10 million pound mansion and he was going to get the biggest commission break of his life(he deserves it btw). They were always there when we needed help, reassurance and advice. Moving home is one of the most stressful times of your life, not with C&L, they were doing all the chasing, all the follow ups, all phone calls or emails that needed to be sent and jumped on, I just kicked back and relaxed, and only because they did such a good job. GoogleThey made our first property buying experience “memorable” but not in a good way. Handing over a property without electricity because of a blown fuse and melted meter which we found out on the day we got the keys, with British Gas engineer saying we were lucky not having any fire on the property, deemed it unsafe to move in. C&L wiping their hands off any responsibility because we completed on the same day. Instead of an apology, all we heard was “it was unfortunate” and “you are unlucky”. Staff being unprofessional and dishonest. Working on both health and education industry, me and my partner are always used to going for the extra mile, meanwhile, I guess you cannot expect that in this type of industry. As people struggle to save for that deposit and fees, you give your trust and take a risk that these type of people will take care of you,unfortunately, that didnt happen to us. Wont be recommending them.
Dear Ivy, We are sorry that you felt the need to leave a poor review. Naturally we can’t go into detail on a public review, but as per our discussions, on the day of completion whilst trying to take meter readings we noticed that the meter was off. We immediately reported it to our client who as you know instructed British gas to attend the property on that day. They replaced the meter and then advised UK power network need to replace the main fuse. We were, and still are happy to help get the issue resolved. We have certainly not ‘wiped our hands’ of it and nor would we. As you know we and you have been in and out of the property on various occasions and up until completion day we were not aware of any issue with the meter. If you would like us to continue to help in any way, please contact us and we are more than happy to do what we can.
