Thank you Tracey, for carrying out very well written, comprehensive and detailed Inspection Reports for our fully managed flat in Oxted. The photographs that accompany the reports help to illustrate any issues that require attention. Regular inspections are vital to pick up on any concerns that not only need to be addressed in terms of keeping the property in good shape, but also any concerns that the Tennant may wish to discuss. We have had a fairly long relationship with Payne & Co over the years, selling and buying property with Peter, Malcolm and Jason. I've had dealings with Payne and Co., and in particular Jason Brown since 2009 when I rented a flat through them. I subsequently purchased it and then had them manage it as a letting when I moved back to the West Country. They have just sold it for me, to an investor which, thankfully, meant my tenant could remain. Overall, we are delighted that we chose Payne & Co to be our estate agent as they gained a quick sale for us within eight days of going on the market during an apparently sluggish period. Furthermore, the dealings we had with all members of staff were at least good if not excellent. The sales director dealt with us on several occasions from the initial evaluation right through to the day of exchange which was drawn out and stressful. His professional approach at pushing our case forward and that of our buyers was excellent. He was friendly and approachable at all times but showing knowledge and experience. Other staff were always helpful and encouraging some with more experience than others. There were frequent attempts for their part-time staff to keep abreast of the situation and to deal with any problems and matters of communication. Our minor quibbles would include one estate agent coming early for a viewing with clients before the allocated time and before we were out of the house, another employee perhaps supporting the needs of our buyer more than us as we were purchasing through another agent and, on various occasions, people not referring back to our file or any notes about our holiday dates and such details. Overall, these factors do not affect our general view that we were served better by this agent based in a small local town than we might have been by more local village agents. They reached a wider audience for our sale and had high levels of expertise in their field. Thank you to all concerned.
