Dear Ms Ziegenbein,
We are disappointed to learn you're unhappy with the service you received. We'd be grateful to have the opportunity to hear your feedback on any issues you encountered so we can rectify any problems.
However, we’re afraid your review is factually incorrect. On 1st November you paid the holding fee to reserve a property, in the knowledge that you then had 7 days to complete the online referencing process and if you did not complete this then your fee would not be refundable. The vast majority of our clients manage to complete process in the required timeframe with no problems. After paying the fee you then had some additional requests for the landlord (which should have been mentioned on your offer form), by 11th November you had made no progress with the application and as your requests were not agreed by the landlord we offered you a full refund, this refund offer was sent to your email address and we have records of this. We then sent a further email to you on 15th November to ask for a final answer on whether you wanted to proceed or withdraw and have your fee refunded, you confirmed via email on 15th November that you wanted to go ahead. At this point we were already 7 days past your referencing deadline, we gave you another 7 days from 15th November to complete the referencing by 22nd November, you failed to do this. We then granted you one final extension of 7 days to 30th November, unfortunately by 30th November we had still not even received details of all 4 tenants, so very little progress had been made. At this point we had no choice but to remarket the property and your fee was not refundable.
