TrustpilotHunters Grimsby
Hunters Grimsby Allowed us to live in a rat infested property with a baby, two older children and a baby on the way. The landlady hid behind the agent and denied knowing about the issues even though the neighbours stated environmental health were involved. The drains didn’t work properly, parts of the house we couldn’t use yet we still had to pay a premium to live in the property. The lady that dealt with us handing our notice in was very rude and demanded money for repairs that were there when we moved in. Luckily for us we had proof or the poor state the property was in.

TrustpilotAbsolutely Pathetic Service
Pathetic, 0 ProfessionalismI wanted to rent a 2 bed flat, just after the viewing I confirmed that I will be putting the holding deposit and asked for the account details. I was informed over a text message that they will be sending the details to everyone who viewed the property on next working day. I called back at 9:00 am Monday and I was told that I will be getting the mail with account details and I should go ahead with deposit. I did the same, later to know that property is already blocked as someone did the deposit earlier than me as they received the mail on Saturday itself.Upon asking why the mail was not sent to me on Saturday like other even after confirming and why you did'nt inform about the same in our morning conversation. I was told it's of no use to go round and round, we will not give you any answers. Clearly she didn't have any answer and was not ready to accept that she preferred someone over me because of some X,Y,Z reason. If that's the professionalism of a manager, then the average review rating certainly confirms the quality you expect from this organisation.

TrustpilotHUNTERS CARLISLE, Disgusting Agency.
HUNTERS CARLISLE,
Absolute abhorrent service.
Lied, then lied, then lied about bids received on a property that I was interested in purchasing as a cash buyer(no chain).
The property was sold and initially disappeared subject to contract. Fair enough.
They then called me several weeks later, and left a text message for me to URGENTLY contact them.
I did and was informed that the deal had fell through and they asked me to put an increased offer forward for the owner to consider.
This I did but they did not put my offer to him.
I can truthfully make this statement as I contacted the seller personally and he stated that he was unaware of my offer.
Hunters had not been in touch with him.
After all of Hunters actions,
They then said that the owner had decided to sell the property to a person who had sold their property. NOT A CASH BUYER and would not disclose the amount offered. They then asked me what my offer was so I offered a further 100k tongue in cheek.
I then disclosed my final offer and the silence was deafening as I'd obviously offered more than what was required and this was not my final offer.
It sounds as if it had been sold to one of their mates without running my offer by the seller.
They said that they would keep my offer on file, are they joking.
I told them that they can't have their cake and eat it.
Later on that evening Hunters through Rightmove put the property back on Righmove.co.uk again which is even more annoying and confusing.
I am waiting for the vendor to come back to me on all issues.
My advice to readers is ,Avoid this lot like the plague.

Trustpilottreated like second class citizen
It is only my opinion, But it would appear that the vast majority of reviewers here agree, the attitude toward renters like myself and my family is in my opinion despicable they look after the Landlords interests above yours and made me feel like a second class citizen, or course you can make your own decision but when renting from Hunters, make sure you complain about any little defect from the moment you move in until the moment it is fixed, at no point let up as it will cost you later, this is of course based on my experience with them and in particular Hunters York, yours may be completely different.

TrustpilotCONDESCENDING, ARROGANT & RUDE
After speaking to Andrew at the Skipton branch i felt ever so deflated! He was condescending, arrogant and rude! He belittled me following an offer I had made on a property, he first said, pardon?? (as if it was a joke) then said he very much doubts the seller would accept anything less than the asking price, if not more, chuckling while he said this. Maybe they should state on their listings, Offers in excess of/Fixed Price? Also I did not get a fair chance at raising my offer like I was told I could at the property viewing. It’s safe to say I won’t deal with Hunters ever again and advise anyone to go elsewhere if you are looking to have a professional experience! My advice to you is, do not think you are better than anyone and perhaps you need some customer service training to ensure you do better next time!

TrustpilotUse Hunters.com at your Peril
We engaged Hunters without searching on Trustpilot - what a Big mistake.Since engagement it has been a car crash. The franchise owner is ever so condescending, he says that they are professional - they cannot spell as we have 14 versions of the property particulars - they do not update you on viewings, even when you call them they never return a call. I wish I could exit the contract but the time they returned a call quickly was when we asked to exit the contract and then they wanted their 50% fee paying. They cannot even get the GDPR statement completed properly

Dishonest and unprofessional estate agents, did not honour their written commitments to us. Routinely rude, very unpleasant to deal with. They treat customers like pests, and do not try to hide it. I do not understand how they stay in business.

TrustpilotWORST Agent
Worst experience I recently migrated to UK and wanted to locate a house in the city centre. senior agent showed me a house just opposite to the bus station and I accepted the offer but he didn’t revert to me even after 5 to 7 days. I gave them calls messages and called the agency customer care numbers many times but they didn’t have the courtesy to call me back and respond. I had to waste my one week in a hotel also not looking for some other property since they stopped showing other properties. Senior agents have a very bad attitude and they are not holding a responsibility towards the customers very bad agent please don’t opt for these agents if you’re looking for a house in a hassle free way

TrustpilotHunters Estate Agents- Dagenham. Wow
Hunters Estate Agents- Dagenham. Wow, I have never known estate agents to be so dodgy! I put an offer on a property and was guided by Ben to see if I could go higher, which I did, by an extra 15k. I then had a phone call from Ben a few hours later offering me a "deal" to try and "get it cheaper" .. the drop was by 20k ! I was in shock and wondered why the seller would agree to accept a price 20k lower than what I offered. Ben then told me to keep the price at the lower end I would have to pay Hunters 2% commison on the price which the seller was happy to accept (worked out to be around 8-9k plus VAT). Please keep in mind that it's the Seller that would need to pay Esate Agents commission, not the Buyer. I was told by Ben not to disclose this information to my broker or solicitor. Alarm bells started ringing in my head straight away. I started googling for information on this but couldn't see any.. this is when I then thought, this cant be right. If it was normal I would have seen things like this online. Soo, I told them that I'm not comfortable with this and happy to keep at the higher end of my offer.. which was 20k higher than their "deal". Cut a long story short, for them to accept my offer they then told me it would be more time consuming to keep the current tenants in so they wanted me to lie to my solicitor and say I want the house vacated by completion. They would lie to theirs to ensure the sale went through. I spoke to the manager Rasik and their broker/Mortgage Advisor Deo. I decided to pull out in the end as no house is worth constantly thinking you're going to be 'found out' and the unnecessary stress. Keep away from this company. Would definitely never approach them again. Don't fall into the their pressures, if it doesn't feel right, don't do it.

TrustpilotIf I could give less than one star I…
If I could give less than one star I would. You could not pick any worse than Hunters North Leeds. STEER CLEAR. Cannot describe how much of a headache we have had with Hunters North Leeds - it seems they have a strict “no responsibility” policy and will do everything they can to empty your pockets. They put a dead zone (I mean literally, no emergency signal) on the market for working professionals - I am remote working and the penny dropped when we moved in and realised actually we’d never be able to work or you can’t move in and they suggest you stay and pay but you can’t make an income? The neighbours made us aware (they jokingly explained how unreliable the agents were with the last tenant and that they’d give us a heads up) just after we signed that actually you’re not allowed to have Sky (bye bye sky sport my poor boyfriend!) no barbecues and no children allowed to visit. What kind of arrangements are these? No one would agree to these if you put them on a listing. How do they expect people to live comfortable Iives? Were so appalled and would never recommend Hunters North Leeds!

TrustpilotAn honest review from a purchasers…
An honest review from a purchasers prospective. They need to scrap their after sales care or come when something different. Nothing short of pestering the purchaser and purchasers solicitor to the point of causing stress and anxiety. Do they realise that they are paid by the seller and NOT the purchaser. They are an unnecessary step in the chain for us. Constantly making out that the purchasers solicitor hasn’t done this that and the other. Emails coming sometimes two to three times a week. Felt this was intentionally trying to make us look bad. Ended up having to tell them to back off. What is really frustrating is the fact that we have bent over backward for the seller to ensure the sale goes through to the extent we ended up going with a lower offer on our house as the previous buyer was taking too long to sort things out. In my opinion, the after sales process has left a bitter taste in the sellers mouth thinking we are stalling things when we aren’t.As far as we are concerned this process plus the actions of the seller is making us want to pull out of this sale. We have nothing to lose but perhaps Hunters may rethink how they also treat their buyers. This poor seller has previously lost a sale. She may want to ask herself was it really the survey or the pressure of the after sales team????Sales team were fantastic though you can see why. After all they want to make their commission fee.

Absolutely a waste of time,I waited nearly 3 months for the buying of a property to even get started,I’d been accepted of the offer I put in and they didn’t even take the property off the market or even put under offer. So now I’m going to have to rent somewhere until the property I’m now buying is completed. This is Blackpool branch of Hunters.

GoogleI have been renting for almost 3 years with Hunters, about to finish my contract in a few months. I am happy with the service so far, the team has been responsive, helpful and flexible with us. The house has been kept in great condition, and they were always quick to respond to important issues (for example, with problems with the boiler or pests). I expect the move out to be smooth as well. I would recommend their services.

TrustpilotHorrible customer service
arranged viewing the property, the only time that the agent offered us was Good Friday at 12.00, we agreed and agent sent a confirmation of viewing. Yesterday we arrived at the place and waited 20 minutes, but the agent did not come, the phone number that is in the confirmation email says " we are out of office call us Monday " . We decided to knock to the property, and the seller of the house said that he decided not to sell house and remove listing from the sale yesterday. We are shocked, no one informed us that our viewing was canceled

TrustpilotBUYERS BEWARE
BUYERS BEWAREReally poor customer service and a complete lack of integrity from these estate agents. Before even going to view the property we asked about the situation with the probate which the agents didn’t know, which was surprising given the property had already been listed for two weeks! Following the viewing and confirmation that probate had been granted we made an offer which was accepted subject to proof of deposit and mortgage in principle. Within less than 24 hours Hunters then rung us to say they had accepted another offer after the other party upped their offer! They refused to accept that they had played us offer against each other, but then asked if we wanted to make another offer to counter that! Disgraceful unethical behaviour and I’d advise to steer well clear of these agents.

TrustpilotAvoid Hunters Fully Managed House Letting Service
I used Hunters to fully manage my house Letting. Initially I was impressed with the survey, the schedule and the person dealing (Fiona) - but she left! Over the course of the tenancy (18m) I found Hunters in the York/Wetherby offices to be pretty incompetent and actually got in the way as opposed to helping to solve minor problems. A quotation they recommended/obtained for me was very expensive and unnecessary. Their communications were always delayed, often very late or missed and then repeated. It seemed to me that the staff needed better training and some even took a high handed almost patronising attitude toward me - the owner/landlord. I was told at one point (because of data protection legislation) they could not give me the house address or the tenants phone number to organise a repair! .. so I pointed out .. 'I own the house, and lived in it for many years and so I know the address - and also have the tenants' phone numbers on the signed contract - but as we were speaking now on the phone it would have just saved me a bit of time for you to give the number to me in order to speed up things to get the problem sorted out!' I had a leaking bath waste fixed the very next day - once I had asked for the tenant's permission and availability (as I knew he worked on night shift sometimes) .. and that was when I learned that the tenant had actually reported the leak to Hunters several days or even a week before I was informed! I left my personal number for the tenant to contact me directly for any future problems.Upon the termination of the tenancy, Hunters seemed to be taking sides with the tenant which all seemed like personal favouritism to me as I had been (and AM) a good, reliable and honest landlord always responding immediately to concerns and fixes, and was, after all paying their fees! - so, although the tenant had left some but minimal damage, Hunters were reluctant to call it out and told me the damage was there at the outset! .. it was Not! - their schedule proved it! I did not, however charge the outgoing tenants for the damaged plaster or the double glazed unit and allowed a full reimbursement of their deposit via the TDS (tenancy deposit scheme). On balance, I would certainly NOT recommend Hunters to manage a house Let considering the unprofessional and incompetent way they handled mine, despite costing me thousands of pounds overall in their monthly fees for a service which I believe fell 'way short of expectation' when it was actually ME communicating properly and organising/sorting out any problems whilst Hunters, as far as I was concerned, were simply passing messages to me - albeit late .. but their invoices never were!

TrustpilotTerrible Service! DO NOT USE!
First time renting, we went to view the property told the agent we were interested.Three weeks on we've had no contact from them to ask if we are still interested or whether the landlord liked us after filling in an application form for them with details of our salaries and contact information! It took them 3 days to send the form and when we received it we believed it was the wrong one! Poor at answering the phone in the first place as well! Obviously only interested in actually selling houses not letting them. Absolutely appalling. good job we've found somewhere else to view or god knows how many times we've have to chase them up to find anything out.

TrustpilotCorrupt - selling a house before viewings.
Went to view a property today, told we were first ones to view property. Immediately called to make an offer and was told an offer was already in place from someone who hadn't viewed property yet. Estate agent who showed us around told us there were no bids. Clearly these people are inventing bids hoping you out bid these and they get a bigger % fee. Don't buy from these estate agents, clearly corrupt and dodgy. I noticed 18th Jan review on here showed exact same thing happened before. They wasted our time and anyone else who views it after us, and potentially lying to pump up price.
