If it was possible to give zero stars I…

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Any potential landlords don’t use Hunters. The tenants they get are the worst (drug users, harassing and intimidation). Do Hunters do anything? No. They allow these tenants to blight a good and decent community. They are the scum of the earth (both Hunters Hollinwood and head office in York). Gareth Williams who the current CEO is a disgrace. By the way they also allow the property to become unkempt and dirty. As long as the money rolls in. Also some staff have sensory issues with smell. Everyone and their dog could smell cannabis yet strangely the woman who looked after the property as the tenant is confrontational and would only deal with and obviously she gave him all his own way couldn’t smell it. **PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS**

Great Service and Support from Dursley Branch

We used our local Hunters in Dursley. Katrina and Richard could have not been more helpful and supportive throughout the selling process. We had a lot of trouble with our solicitor but Katrina held our hand throughout and really put in a lot of work to help get our sale over the line. We are extremely grateful to her as she made a very stressful process so much more manageable. We would highly recommend Hunters, Dursley.

Wouldn't recommend

We sold our house with the Catford branch. First impressions were fantastic: the valuer spent well over an hour with me at the valuation appointment, and I felt very heard and considered as a result. This approach, alongside the wealth of data supplied, got Hunters the job over other agents. Unfortunately this initial attentiveness did not last. When I really needed the team to help push for exchange and completion, I found staff members significantly hands off, which is in direct contrast to the reviews I read about the agent on an independent review website before signing up. For this reason, I would not use this agent in future, or recommend them. Having said this, the brochure and photos were great, and I personally appreciated the communication around viewings.

Hunters are rude and threatening

I have been a tenant for over three years following a separation. Prior to this I have always had my own house. I work full time, always paid my rent on time and also carried out repairs ( with the landlords permission) . When I did need to contact Hunters it has usually been a difficult and unpleasant experience. The deansgate office staff I have spoken and liaised with have been very unprofessional, they are indecisive, often changing their position and being threatening. They are generally quite rude and un necessarily demanding and threatening Whilst I do recognise they may have some difficult tenants they cannot treat everyone the same. I have paid over £30 k in rent and only moving because of the rediculous rent hike of £100 per month and the way they communicate.I do hope landlords read this. I recommend that you use another agent. Reading the reviews here show that overall they are very poor.

Had a viewing with Hunter

Had a viewing with Hunter, the agent who were representing the property is apparently green handed and has very limited knowledge of the room. Pretty disappointed.

Christmas ruined

4 weeks ago we reported our oven broke down and until now we still haven't received a replacement. We can't make any plans for Christmas. We wanted to have a nice christmas dinner on Christmas Eve but that's like asking for the moon.

I have worked with Hunters Oxford, and in particular with Corina Harris, for well over 20 years. Corina has managed the renting of my flat for all of that time; and then has managed the sale of the flat. In both aspects, the service has been exceptional. Management - Corina has always been meticulous in attention to detail, and thoughtful in terms of advice for improvements. She has been vigorous in setting profitable prices, active in finding new tenants when required, and careful about managing necessary costs. First rate in all respects. Sale of flat - Again, Corina took full responsibility for this, since I live abroad. She marketed the property very attractively, and found a solid buyer very quickly - at the asking price. She then monitored and guided the conveyancing process with her usual attention to detail, giving a useful push when the process went slowly. I am profoundly grateful to her for handling the sale so efficiently and successfully.

Chapeltown Hunters Staff

called into Chapeltown Hunters yesterday to report a potential fire risk to house which they are selling.Clearly they did not wish to know. this was nothing to do with the recent fires. The information was given to us by a very experienced builder who discovered the risk when working on my house which is next door to the house in question.Apparently the house is near to completion, therefore the unsuspecting buyers are buying a house which requires quite a lot of work and perhaps a lot of money spending. I spoke to Hunters out of courtesy, however this was not appreciated by them. They obviously do not wish any thing to get in the way of making their commission What a terrible customer service to the unsuspecting buyer.

One star is too much for them

One star is too much for them. I came for a viewing on 08.07 at W4 3AA with Riff Hassain, the address which was confirmed twice: the day before and an hour before viewing. I was waiting for an hour with 6 more peoples and agency secretary replied like: will be there in 5 minutes, or she is inside of the property, she is in the car on the corner as we all called from time to time from different numbers.Nasty disgrace, I have spent time to travel and half of my Saturday on this. No-one even apologies on it, Shame to treat your clients like that

Friendly, helpful and approachable

From start to finish with viewing, asking questions, getting information for Solicitors, and completion the team have been great. They’ve made me feel like no question was too silly, given me their time to view the property when needed and they have gone above and beyond in chasing information for me to enable a quick sale. Monica, Antonia and Melanie have been fantastic in helping me and very friendly and helpful. I can not fault my experience as a first time buyer.

I was suppose to buy an apartment…

I was suppose to buy an apartment listed by them. In the beginning everything seemed really good. Nice person showing the apartment, easy to schedule additional viewing. After accepting the offer hunters has completely changed their tone. I got constant phoncalls if I'm ready to sign up the contract even it was 2 months in the process they were pushing me to sign without full report from solicitor (who was waiting for lacking information from the vendor...), threatening the deal won't go through if I won't sign up immediately. Good I haven't despite obnoxious pressure, as the apartment listed with INCLUDED ASSIGNED parking space and advertised as such by person showing around was in fact with no right to any parking! For context: apartment was in the city center and there was no option to park outside. So... I was asked for multiple forms to prove my funds, identity etc endless list of information to check if I'm not a fraud from the start, but Hunters was not bothered to check if apartment has actually assigned parking space! (which in city centre- Manchester can cost even 10000....). They will do everything just to get their cut with no respect to buyer. Few months ago I bought apartment with another real estate agency. Smooth, civilised transaction. If you can stay away from Hunters literally anyone is better then them.

Hunters were unhelpful from day one

Hunters were unhelpful from day one. Initially the letting agent who showed me around the apartment gave me his card details to call him to put an offer down on the apartment and the number on his business card was wrong. With my apartment, I was told the carpets were getting changed, so my move in date was pushed back by two weeks. When I moved into the apartment the carpets were not changed. Bearing in mind I was paying a lot of money for this apartment in the city center, multiple light fixtures were broken, the fridge and shower were broken and the apartment was disgustingly dirty. I complained to the company to get this fixed, however 2 months later (and after multiple multiple multiple conversations with hunters) I was still living in an apartment with half of the lights not working, the fridge and shower still broken. Both the fridge and shower were only changed when I threatened not to pay rent. Overall a terrible experience with Hunters and I moved out of the apartment as soon as I could. The organisation within the business is terrible, people always pass the blame along to someone else so nothing ever gets sorted. I will never rent with hunters Leeds again and I would strongly advise anyone looking to rent an apartment NOT to go with hunters.

To describe our experience with Hunters estate... Dreadful.

Our experience with Hunters estate agency (Worcester Park office) has been extremely negative. We are going through a horrible experience resulting in heavy stress upon us all. I'll explain the situation in detail for those interested. Read to get an insight at how much you should avoid these people.Shockingly bad treatments towards people seeking to rent. We are tenants of a property that they now rent to us and we have experienced nothing but disgust ever since we began our tenancy with them. The lettings manager 'Preeti' is a horrific women with really bad attitude and horrible human skills; very dismissing and in a hurry to close the phone call. She was very unprofessional when we were speaking to her and complaining about the unethical way they got us into a contract without being transparent with us about very important details regarding the property. They mis-advertised and used different lowly tactics to lure my girlfriend into quickly signing the contract of tenancy. We are now bound by a contract that one day in we no longer want to be apart of because of the hideous things we have come to learn and find out about this disgusting property. To go into detail of the kind of house they are renting to us, it is a house with hazard written all over it. the flooring in the kitchen is bumpy as if it is a piece of paper that had been soaked in water. The kitchen room smells disgusting, a smell I wouldn't even know how to describe and the fridge is yellow to put it simply. It smells like a dead person was kept in there and the colour has turned into yellow instead of white. There's mould in the house on several different walls and behind built in radiators. The toilet in the house hasn't been cleaned and inside it's black with stains all over the seat. The agency had the audacity to hand over to us new tenants this property without even having gotten it cleaned. It was as the previous tenants left it.Such a low class estate agency with below par, scummy treatment. Upon receiving the keys and seeing the house we immediately went to the local office we were dealing with to complain about the un-liveable condition of the house they misconstrued my girlfriend's words and used it against her and that was their only response. "You said you'll take the property as it is" and they failed to mention or answer back when we said we also listed conditions that we want if we were to accept this property and of course one of them being that the house is professionally cleaned but they didn't bother because they had their defence; a few words a part of a whole email. They have made our lives hell and we are all miserable and going to be forced to live in these disgusting conditions. This is one of the top estate agencies in the UK, we never would have thought that they would trick us and take advantage of us the way they have. We are utterly devastated.

I am incredibly disappointed

I am incredibly disappointed. The agency passes me a flat in awful condition, full of dust and cobwebs around the windows. Moreover, the paint is going out of the walls, leaving the dark wholes/spots, and it doesn't look very pleasant. The previous tenants left pudding or whatever it was under and around the fridge. I had lost my nails trying to scrape this stinking dust. I have to mention that the top of the fridge was also covered of 5 mm of dust with fat from a cooker, which made it even harder to clean. It took me three days to clean the flat to prepare it to bring my staff. I feel cheated and disrespected. I had texted the agency, and no one even tried to text me back. When I came to the agency, I didn't even hear an apology, but I was told that my expectations/standards are too high and the flat is in a suitable condition. Do I really have too high expectations, guys, or is it just the agency's too low standards?I just regret that I didn't start making the photos and videos at the beginning when it was much worst.

Unprofessional

We contacted Hunters Agency to view a house in my local area. The agency was really slack with replying to E-Mails, which shows a red flag from the get-go. After filling in a questionnaire, we asked questions about the property which he didn't know the answers to. Another red flag. So I thought, well, we will view the property anyway and see how that goes. I said that we were only available in the afternoons. He didn't reply. So I emailed again asking if this was okay. It wasn't until the next day he replied with "Apologies for the delay in response, unfortunately the email didn’t send and was in my outbox." So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and was polite about it. He offered 10:15 in the morning, so my partner had to arrange time off work to do it as it didn't seem they would even negotiate a time that would suit us anyway. Another red flag. So we agreed. He then said you will receive a confirmation text with the time and address etc. Now, it's the day of the viewing with only a an hour left until the viewing and we still haven't received the confirmation text of the address or anything. From this awful display of customer service, we shall not be going. The proffesionalism is slack to say the very least.

Hunters Solihull and Knowle

Absolute cowboys. They are so unprofessional it's unbelievable. We rented through these scumbags for 2 years and they are useless to say the least. We had problems with damp because there wasn't adequate ventilation to the property, we were told to just clean it. They never visited the property once during our tenancy only once the landlord was selling and the vermin could smell a bit of commission, even then they couldn't even arrange viewings properly and didn't know the simplest of answers to relevant questions from the potential buyer. They tried to push viewings onto us with 5 hours notice which is illegal and would lie to try and make us agree, to which we didn't. We canceled viewings to which hunters didn't tell the viewers who turned up anyway and had a wasted journey after ringing our buzzer numerous times. We moved out 2 weeks ago and we're still getting harassed by companies on behalf of hunters contacting us for boiler services. We don't work for hunters. Do your own work you lazy pests. We've now had to raise a dispute as they're withholding our deposit even though we left the property how it was stated in the check out list. The property is damaged from mould just like a lot of our belongings due to the property being unfit for residency. Never use this company whether you're looking to sell your property or looking to rent a property. They'll just try and steal your deposit. Luckily it's with tds and we can dispute it through them which we will be doing. We're not going to let these rats get their cheese without a fight.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, I approached Hunters at the end of August 2021 looking to put offer n a house they are selling. I sold my house and was asked to wait till January as our vendors needed time to find a house. We accessed his and time went by. As we got to January our vendor s still hadn’t found the right house and dispute offering to pay them for a hotel for four weeks and storage the vendor refused. 8 months later we still haven’t been given a definite date to move. My husband and I have had to cancel our 25 anniversary holiday due to this and are looking at having to move into rented accommodation losing 6k early pay back on our current mortgage and six months rent due to the lack of action taken by the vendor and Hunters themselves!!! I understand that Hunters are employed by the vendor but surely our situation isn’t right !!! Without our purchase Hunters Littleborough wouldn’t be getting paid anyways. Total lack of communication and absolutely no information to hand when we have contacted them. This purchase has ruined our 25th anniversary year !!!! Houses don’t take 8-9months to complete !!!!!!😡😡😡I just want to move into my new home or at least be given a concrete date to move in!! An absolute nightmare!!!!!

I engaged with the Leigh branch based in greater Manchester They never return calls and were awful to deal with, I sold my property in the end with another local estate who were really good from start to finish. However I noticed only yesterday that my sold flat is now on the marketed as a rental with HuntersAlthough, they apparently feel it’s acceptable to market the property using my original photos as a luxury apartment rentalInvasion of my privacy GDPRNever asked if they could use my original marketing photos, This is now being passed to my solicitor as totally not acceptable
