Hunters Liverpool - worst letting agents

I have rented a number of flats throughout recent years and Hunters Liverpool are by far the worst and rudest letting agents I have come across. I rented a flat for a year with them and the following are issues faced - no heating for a MONTH during November, no working shower for 4 months after moving in, leak in bedroom ceiling went un dealt with until end of tenancy, rats in cupboard when moved in and was told it "was not their responsibility", and endless more issues that were constantly ignored. Dealed with enquiries highly unprofessionally and had to be chased countless times before they responded to phone calls/emails. avoid at all costs.

Hunters Tring ans Surrounding Villages…

Hunters Tring & Surrounding Villages strike again! Amazing service from Caroline, Iain and the whole team. Helped us get our house sold at 98% of the asking price and keep everything going through the Covid-19 Epidemic. They chased everything down to completion even with a few complications along the way! On top of that they found us a short-term rental around the corner which suited all our needs and gave us a stop gap whilst we sold another property. We are customers for Life (just a shame that you only cover Tring and surrounding villages 😊). If you want an Agent that actually works hard for you and goes outside the box, then don’t hesitate to use Caroline and her brilliant Team.

I am Japanese and had experience of renting house from 2 letting agency. Although my experience is quite limited, I dare to say that Hunters is one of the BEST letting agencies in Oxford. We had difficulty proving income etc. with our English not quite good, but Corina had helped us sorted out everything, from viewing the property from Japan with video, contract, moving in, issues and repairs of property, moving out and end of tenancy. If I have chance to come to Oxford in the future, I am sure to visit Hunters Oxford to see wonderful people there again!

Horrible experience and nasty staff

I have dealt with hunters in my life time for the purposes of my parents buying a house and a business and myself moving to a rental property. All I can say is they were consistently unprofessional uneducated and rude. I naively didn’t think it would matter when renting a property who the letting agents were however I was wrong. The biggest item of contention was the deposit. They had deliberately left items off the inventory that were damaged and dirty. I had added additional notes to say for example the carpet was heavily soiled, but because I did not list one particularly piece of damage they would not accept this. The staff were very rude- which is so unnecessary it’s not their money and I was nice throughout, far nicer than a lot of people would be.There’s many more things I could list but all I can say is to avoid them I have since used Hudson moody and they have been a dream lovely staff no matter who you speak to and very competent diligent record keeping.

Hunters Pontefract

What a joke this place is! Rented a property from them in august, viewed the property and it looked lovely, 3 bedroom house with a garage in a nice quite area for £650 a month. That’s where the this well sounding house then goes wrong. We’re supposed to have 2 sets of keys, they gave us 1 complete set and a set that fit none of the doors (who knows who’s keys I had and who had my keys?) We had no running hot water for 3 weeks. All of which were reported immediately. That’s when the problems then go even worse, after redecorating ( which the property needed) with their permission most rooms to the house and de weeding all of the gardens, we then realised why the property was so cheap. As the weather turned worse in autumn the boiler had to be put on, the thermostat didn’t work and the boiler was on constantly meaning the bills were ridiculously high, every window in the property was blown and misted the bay window was collapsing so let mould in the front of property, my daughter has a lung condition so this really effected her ( which hunters was made aware of) there were holes in the brick by the back door, when the toilet was flushed the downpipe leaked on to the back door the list goes on and on. We asked for early release of our tenancy ( a month and a half) which the landlord agreed to after a member of hunters had been out to assess the property, they then phoned on the day of my partners nans funeral to say the landlord had changed his mind ( which I never got the message after calling back twice and leaving messages) We moved out of the property in December due to the issues and the fact they weren’t being resolved after countless attempts to contact hunters. They finally got back in contact in January and said if we had just dropped the keys off that would have ended the tenancy? After weeks of trying to contact them. They have since taken the deposit back and rented out the property in pretty much the same condition! Stay away from hunters. They do nothing to help or communicate and are all about the money not the health and well-being of the tenants living in the properties, the tenants are simply cash cows!

had serious problems with Hunters Northfields Ealing , on many occasions I asked them not to make appointments without my permission, however they subcontract their lettings to a third party and they never make a mutually agreed time . all i ask is that all appointments aree by agreement ONLY , i cannot say what Hunters are like for landlords but if you are a tenant you wil,l get no help at all

Disgusting service, 0 stars if possible

Emailed them and phoned them the day a property was advertised, to buy. No response on emails. Told me they would phone me back over the phone. Ignored further emails. Didn’t pick up further phone calls. They did the same to my partner. Property then listed as sold 10 days later.Disgusting service, felt completely ignored, no communication or care for potential clients. To avoid at all costs. This was a Leeds branch.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!

I’ve been dealing with this agency for the past 5 years, and once again they’ve proven the worst agency/agents ever. I deal with their branch in Surrey Quays, London, and their service is amongst the worst I’ve ever had in any kind of customer service, plus their incompetence is beyond belief. We’ve had the name of the lead tenant changed from the DPS for someone who doesn't even live here. DPS tells us the agency requested the name, (which the agency rudely denied) and then we find out that only 1 of the current tenants has the name in the DPS although the deposit has obviously been payed by the 3 of us. On top of that, after showing our obvious concern with the situation, we’re told by the agency not to worry, because “it should be fine”. Disgraceful!!!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

The worst Agency ever

The worst Agency ever. They looking every way to win your deposit. Please do never work with them. I was renting a small studio flat. When i first entered the flat the bath was a bit cracked. I never reported cause i thought they know about that. By the time this cracked became worst and worst. When i left property i did changed the bath with my own costs , i cleaned the property with professional cleaning service. Above that they said me that they put other people to clean it again cause it was not cleaned enough, and this cost was 240 pounds, finally i paid for that as well. Before all of these they said me i need to send keys via post to their agency. I did send it to them. After i payed the bath and the cleaning services, they said me that they need to keep some deposit because the keys has not arrived to their office and i didnt send the proof of postage which they never said me that it need to be posted with recorded post or to send them proof of postage. They are Scams do never work with them guys, they don't care how you feel or anything they just want to steal money from you.

Unfortunately once again America…

Unfortunately once again America succumbs to its usual 2-dimensional plots and characters with yet another load of revenge programming loaded with a heavy dose of violence. Predictably, the line is clearly defined between good and evil. Each episode we can look forward to inventive ways in which a healthy cross section of races kill evil Nazis, executing them with catchy one-liners and witty monologues. Most of this garbage rests on a good Jewish teenager who joins a team of what seems like movie extras in order to track down the evildoers and plot their demise.

Shambles what this company think they…

Shambles what this company think they can do.They honestly don't know what they are doing, I had to deal with Worcester Park branch but even their head office didn't make a better effort either to jump in to rectify the issues caused by Cenar and then Chris. They are not professional at all, so unorganised it's painful and they really think they can get away with lies (basically they take you as a mug?!), thinking the more they talk (bs it's called! 99%) it counts as good costumer service . I had to ask legal advice in the end and only then they started listening...such a nightmare experience I wouldn't wish to this to anyone else.

I have rented through Hunters for the past three years. Communication has not always been easy; I am yet to get through via telephone, and initially was only able to make contact about the property I found online by physically going into the offices. Since then, it has been 50:50 with respect to email queries. Some issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently, in other cases I have had to ask multiple times to get an answer to a query. However, when a query is seen to, it has been in a thorough and professional manner. I believe Hunters to have the necessary expertise of an estate agent, but as a tenant, I have not felt like a valued customer.

Rented through Hunters for 2 years and was consistently impressed by their professionalism. I went into the arrangement somewhat scarred because a previous agency (name withheld) had systematically blanked our concerns from the outset while spamming us with affiliate deals. Hunters could not have been more different. They were flexible about our requirements and resolved our concerns about the property. Obviously, ultimately, they are the Landlord's agents but they expressed this in a businesslike rather than adversarial manner. Choosing between two equal houses, I would favour the one let through Hunters.

I have made positive experience with Hunters in Oxford. The staff responded promptly to emails, especially Corina, and quickly arranged a handyman to visit when there was a problem with the flat.

GREAT SERVICE FROM SELBY

Throughout the process of selling my mothers house the SELBY team have gone above and beyond in communication, customer service and positivity. It has been an emotional time but the process has been massively helped by the team at Hunters Selby. They really care what happens and how it happens and it shows in their positive can do attitude. Never once had to chase them which is amazing - cannot recommend them enough - WELL DONE

STAY AWAY!

I rented a property for 6 months from this company and it’s by far the most horrific and unprofessional company I’ve ever come across. I got my keys and on entering the property you could smell how dirty it was. The carpet in living room had been so badly worn it had holes in it (when I view the property before it had tenants living in it and this as covered by furniture). Some of the rooms were wallpapered. Obviously lack of cleaning done. I did the inventory hive where you tick of the picture taken by the estate a gent matched the description, it did so I ticked it. All this was via email and before I got the keys to actually see it bare. I was horrified at the state of the place and called them immediately. Banister rail was loose, the back door had dropped, the front door leaked, all interior doors were very hard to open, the showers had been leaking as there was mould on kitchen ceiling directly below, boiler lost pressure when the heating was on and much more. They rectified a few things. Now over the 6 months I was there they did get things sorted (4months before an electrician was employed to fix the smoke alarms). Now I did not receive my full bond back as they took money off me £15 for dust on light fitting, and £25 for paint work that had been scratched (previous tennant painted white paint on brown plastic windowsills). I left the property in an immaculate state. It was much cleaner then when I moved in. Besides Annabelle being the most stuck up rude and unprofessional person I also think I’ve been misled and taken advantage of. As i imagine they took bond money off previous tenants for the decorating issues they did not however rectify this and restore the house to neutral decor. I don’t mind find taken off if I have damaged anything but they seem to take your money and not repair anything!

Hunters Estate Agents Oxford

Hunters Estate Agents Oxford. I had a terrible experience trying to have my deposit refunded. Thames Water has made a mistake giving me a final bill a month before I was leaving. I never paid more than £13 per month and actually got a refund from Thames Water. I offered to let Hunters hold up to £50 until the bill was settled. The bill came to £8. They would not return any of the deposit. Instead of retaining only the amount in contention (£8) they would not release the rest of the £1312 deposit. It caused me needless stress and I would not recommend them to anyone. Terrible treatment. Only pleasant while they want you as a client.

Corrupt company managed by vile people.

0 stars Avoid renting a property with this company especially the Bradford office and the vile letting agent Mo. He will push you into paying a holding deposit (another word for an admin fee) with no intentions of letting you the property or paying you back your deposit. As a single mother who has just been ripped off. I find companies and people like this absolutely repulsing, with no morals whatsoever. I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company as a tenant or a home owner. One word corrupt.

Real estate agent. I rented two properties through Hunters in between moves. Although I was not an EU citizen, was employed in the UK and did not have a regular salary, and did not have a guarantor in the UK, I was able to borrow the loan by paying the loan period of about 1 year and 6 months in one lump sum. . The staff were courteous and kind, and responded immediately when I contacted them when I had a problem at home.

Awful service for no reason

What could I say? It's one of the worst estate agents I have come across. Firstly called to view; with great difficulty managed to agree on a time for which I took some time off. The agent was rude. On the day; a different guy shows up who was obviously had the same kind of training e.g not bothered. After the viewing : called to make a final enquiry, my questions were met with unease , anyway , I put an offer and was told I have to bid more to the maximum I could afford and put it in an email which I did , I increased the offer more than the asking price. No reply since then to my texts and emails and wasn't told anything since which only leaves me to think there was a higher bidder and hence not bothered with any communication. That's was Hunters Collier Row.

Hunters P'Head - Terrible customer service!

My recent experience with Hunters (Portishead) has been very poor and unfortunately, due to terrible customer service, I will avoid ever dealing with the company again. I thought it may be wise to share this review as I genuinely feel houses may not be selling in our area due to a certain persons 'selling techniques'. Every phonecall before and after our viewing with this person was incredibly frustrating. They were very rude, abrupt and patronising. During the viewing both me and my partner were almost cringing at the 'selling technique' , it was all about him and his contacts, very much a bragging opportunity. This was followed with a very patronising quick fire lesson on 'how to sell a house'. If the agent had bothered to actually ask questions about us, he would have learnt that one of us had very extensive property sales experience. Similarly, by asking no questions about us, he didn't sell the house to us, he merely opened the door and identified what the rooms were. No attempt of selling the features to fit our needs, nothing. Whilst I initiated some questions about the property, the agent didn't answer me directly and would always look to my partner when speaking - we both picked up on this seperately and found it to be very rude and came across chauvinistic! The agent wrapped up the viewing by saying he had a cash buyer in next (as to try and scare us), we waited...and guess what, nobody arrived. During the multiple calls after out viewing (some were return calls to his voicemails) this particular agent would respond like he didn't have a clue who we were, (well if he had bothered to use his customer service skills perhaps his memory would have served him better) after re-highlighting who I was, I was faced with short answers in a 'you're wasting my time tone'. I left every phonecall seething at how rude this person really was.I think anyone who has dealt in any customer facing role understands that customer service is key, find out about your customer, what do they do, what are their needs, build a rapport etc.I appreciate we were only viewers but fast forward to us selling in the future - there wouldn't be a chance I would use them as my agent. Safe to say, I will not be dealing with Hunters again.
