The fact that for a university…

The fact that for a university accommodation it is made first come first serve is ridiculous. You have instilled such a fear in students of potentially being homeless they are waiting outside all night in the freezing cold in late November. It is insane that you have made people wait outside waiting for it to be open and have it in person when other companies wouldn’t even risk it. I saw people who have been sick while waiting because they are trying to keep warm and it isn’t keeping them safe. Theres no worry for peoples health and peoples safety. Very disappointing.

I had a very disappointing experience with this agency. When I moved out, they deducted an excessive amount from my deposit without a valid explanation. Their move-out process was unnecessarily difficult, and they were extremely inflexible with scheduling property viewings. They insisted on showing the property at times that were inconvenient for me, even though I had clearly communicated my availability. Overall, the experience felt unfair and unprofessional. Would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for a smooth rental experience.

We found our first apartment through Finders Keepers, and it was a very positive experience. Rebecca did a tremendous job of helping us throughout the entire property search process and understood very well what we were looking for. Thanks to her, our first viewing turned out to be the right one! We visited other properties afterward from different letting agencies, but none provided the same level of initiative, follow-up, and support as we received from Rebecca. We found our perfect first home to rent through Finders Keepers and they were helpful and upfront every step of the way. We were very sad to have to move home but our property manager Natasha made everything very easy and she was there to help with whatever we needed. Poor experience - unhelpful response

Its very difficult for us to give this review but its important to reflect the experience. I was happy with the service up to now but recent experience has been disappointment. They use one size fits all approach. We contacted them regarding the leakage issue in the kitchen on Friday around 17:00 and their response after number of questions is that its not classed as an emergency so we have to wait till Monday. I requested that we have young kids and please consider this, although output is same - unhelpful. They will contact multiple times on phone for rents but won't even take effort to follow up about the issues. We highlighted issues in the property during their visit, they took photo but not follow up. I gave them benefit of doubt up to now but looks like this was not the case. Please be careful when dealing with Finders Keepers as tenants.

It was a lovely experience renting from Finders Keepers. They have very high standards for maintaining their properties. While this could mean that cleaning while surrendering could come at an extra cost, but you come to appreciate that these high standards are the reason you got a lovely property in the first place. As we were moving from abroad, we had no knowledge of Oxford tenancy market and we were shocked that the flats were taken within 24 hours. Traveling with out 4 year old child, we were depressed and worried about finding a home for our family. Then we got lucky and met James. James has been extremely helpful to us in many ways, he found a perfect home for our family taking our needs into consideration, he was extremely polite and patient with our questions and we had many as we were moving from abroad being strangers to the system. Poor care, attention and timeliness

It's unfortunate I'm having to give this rating, but I think it's important to share for future landlords (and tenants). Ignore all the good reviews from years ago - back in 2018 I had a good experience, but that is not the same case with current team so beware. The tenants messaged me a lot to say they were unhappy during their time, but in all honesty I trusted FK and stayed with them. But when the tenants left (and did not leave everything in a good way), FK did not do an adequate check out in my opinion. They didn't share the report with me. They gave the tenants their deposit back and have not fixed the faults now as their responsibilty. I now have to repaint rooms in my house, accept some broken fixtures and make good areas that have been poorly maintained. I'm not sure what exactly the 10% fee was each month or the fees to manage the contract. Responses took forever and then them forgetting what they said on the last call. Really really shocking, I couldn't possibly recommend with the current team in place.

Safeguarding Neglect & Failure to Keep Proper Records

Safeguarding neglect: Allowing contractors to access rental property without properly notifying tenants. In one case a female tenant (student, early 20's) was alone in the property and exited her bedroom to discover a complete stranger (male) standing in the hallway - this turned out to be a contractor who had been given access to the property by FK. Failure to keep proper records and to update paperwork correctly: Incorrectly advising tenants of their monthly direct debits causing a deficit to be allowed to accumulate over several months before correction was made and demand for recompense. When complaints are/were made they are/were met with a level of arrogant defensiveness that is/was unprofessional.

A crime

A crime! as the company name suggests. I just can not get how a company in a country so regulated like the UK can get on with this way to make business. I felt like trapped by a mafia style way of exploiting tenants and taking advantage of their vulnerabilities. Very traumatising experience renting a flat with this company.
