So far, my son and my experience with Finders Keepers has been excellent. They have been reliable, always professional and extremely courteous. Email communication is prompt and any concerns or questions have always been answered. Thank you to Anna for her reassuring and common sense advice at the start of the process and Aline for her unbelievable patience and extremely good communication throughout. Looked at two other properties prior to proceeding with this one. Finders Keepers quickly established what we were looking for and were honest with the information and advice they were giving. Move in date approaching and we do not anticipate any problems. Thank you Finders Keepers, you have made an extremely stressful process 'almost' enjoyable!

During my year in Oxford, I had the pleasure of renting through Finderskeepers, and I must commend them for their exceptional service. From the beginning, even before the move-in, the service provided by the team, especially my property manager Adrian, has been truly unparalleled. What stood out most to me was the efficiency of Finderskeepers in handling any faults within the flat. Even minor issues were met with prompt and professional service. Professional calm attitude

Abi at Finders Keepers is the most professional lettings advisor I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with a few. Emma at Finders Keepers is an absolute treasure. I have returned the UK after living in the US for 25 years. I contacted every estate agent in Headington and Emma was the only one I felt was working WITH us to help us get in to a rental home (which she did!) Her up-beat, can do attitude was so appreciated, as were her timely responses, especially after all the lukewarm receptions from other Letting Agencies (I'm looking at you big real estate chain beginning with Cha- ) and lack of communication. FK is lucky to have her. I hope she is treated accordingly? If you are looking for somewhere new to live in the Headington area, do not hesitate to contact Finders Keepers and Emma, you won't be disappointed.

Utter Lies! So Unprofessional

Firstly I would give them a 0 if I could! I have never come across a letting agent who is so unprofessional before. I enquired about a property with the Bicester office her name was Holly. I found her to be incredibly rude, unprofessional and deceitful about the whole process with an enquiry on renting a property. She was very abrupt with myself and a colleague, didn’t return calls or emails and IGNORED my calls as she would answer to another mobile other than mine. I asked to view the property several times and was told it wasn’t possible even though it was empty and still being advertised as on the market! The property now says let agreed and she still hasn’t informed me, I would have been totally fine if she had told me from the start that the process was already going through rather than lying about the whole “I’m waiting on the landlord to get back to me”. I feel she was saving the property for someone else. So disgusted.

Is this Victorian Britain in the Industrial Revolution?

So bad … I wish I had read these reviews prior to renting through this company. The house we rented was really expensive over 2k. It was terrible the roof leaked, mouldy windows, stunk of cigarettes, dangerous oven which was a fire risk, found a razer and metal tools all over the mud pit garden, unusable conservatory due to leak, toilets were disgusting, central heating oil tank leaking !!!! … so we moved in I cleaned it up and complained about the issues above all of which were ignored except the oven after I paid an electrician to make an assessment and the oil tank as it was an environmental hazard !!! Now after all that we have moved out and they are keeping our deposit !!! This company takes advantage of people and should be made accountable… do not use

We rented a property for 12 months from FK in Oxford. Adrian Higgins was our property manager. As a letting agent he was extremely efficient and swift in his responses. Whenever there was an issue, he would organise for someone to come round and try and fix the problem, usually within 24 hours, without any questions asked. He was very helpful. He also advocated on our behalf when requested rather than shutting us down (e.g. asking the landlord for permission for a pet). Generally we were given notice prior to house visits, tradespeople attending or viewings. If there was a property listed in future that I liked, I would use FK again.

Ive been renting via FK for 4 months. I'm posting because the difference to the previous agency (well known & ubiquitous in Oxford) couldn't be more stark. The process and paperwork at the start were straightforward and not onerous. There was a local person at the end of the phone at all time, I wasnt passed to head office in another part of the UK. My contact was personable, and accessible. The portal to log problems is easy to use (although has times when it doesn't work for a day or so), and so far nearly all the problems I've logged have been dealt with pretty fast, and the plumbers, heating engineer, appliances supplier have been courteous and on time for appointments.

I moved with my cat to Oxford last year and contacted almost all the agencies. Some agencies cancelled my appointments without giving me any explanation. On the other hand, Finders Keepers convinced the landlord and I was able to rent the house I wanted (special thanks to Emma!). Based on my experience, I can say that East Oxford Finders Keepers is the only agency that treats not only landlords but also tenants as customers and provides the same (high) quality of service. I highly recommend them and I hope I will always have the chance to work with them in the future.

I was a private renter through Finders Keepers. If anything is wrong they take a long time to get it fixed and the people they hire to do the job do not do a good job at all. They use the cheapest materials for example and leave jobs half done. We had to phone up months later after they didn’t fix our fence properly (were expecting them to come back and finish the job - but apparently it was finished. There was a massive pole left in the ground holding up our fence and blocking off the shed). Another time the workman left muddy footprints all over our floor and bathroom, and used our bathroom bin to dispose of his waste without even asking us first, disgusting! Then they want to inspect your property every 12 weeks which seems like an infringement on the tenants right to peaceful living. Ok, fine, but then to complain that the house is a mess every time, even when it isn’t is just rude, disrespectful, and unnecessary. They will dictate how you should live. When it came to moving out they tried to charge us for things that weren’t there or were fair wear and tear. We even had the curtains dry cleaned and left the garden in a nice state (better than the state it was in when we moved in) but still wanted to charge us. They agreed to discount some of the charges when I threatened to go through the official dispute service to get our deposit back. Their attitude stinks and they are not respectful of tenants at all. I’ve dealt with some bad letting agents in my time as a private renter, but Finders Keepers were the worst by a country mile.

We've been with Finders Keepers for almost 3 years now, no complaints whatsoever! We've only had 3 issues with whte goods that were solved within two days, an engineer came the next day and a new item was installed a couple days later. Since the beggining Rose Loy has been our point of contact for contract related stuff, she's always been extremly understanding and helpful, and has always given us valuable insights and advice, we couldn't be happier with Finders Keepers as a whole.

In response to your reply, I wanted to reinforce that my family member did not "shout" on the phone. While he was on the phone there were witnesses to the call who all stated he simply questioned her morals in a very calm manner. I am appalled that he is being accused of this. Whilst on the call, the manager was backtracking and changing her story, stating that we were not told that we had to put a deposit down before viewing the property. Also, I would like to mention that I did not have one property on my shortlist, I had 5 and by the time I got in they were gone.

A frustrating and stressful experience

Queuing all night just for the chance to book a viewing already sets a stressful tone, especially for students balancing multiple responsibilities. When the time finally came to reach the front of the line, they were told there was only one property left for their group number and that they had to pay a week’s rent as a holding fee, without even seeing the place first. The claim that properties were disappearing fast seemed like a pressure tactic designed to make renters act impulsively.

The fact that for a university…

The fact that for a university accommodation it is made first come first serve is ridiculous. You have instilled such a fear in students of potentially being homeless they are waiting outside all night in the freezing cold in late November. It is insane that you have made people wait outside waiting for it to be open and have it in person when other companies wouldn’t even risk it. I saw people who have been sick while waiting because they are trying to keep warm and it isn’t keeping them safe. Theres no worry for peoples health and peoples safety. Very disappointing.
