Hardisty are good at following up on viewing requests and helped makes this process relatively simple for us. We dealt with Jack Barry whilst making an offer on two occasions and both times his communication was prompt (both with unsuccessful and successful news).

Paul was excellent

We recently sold our house through Hardisty. The sale was not straight forward, and we experienced a lot of problems caused by the buyer and we were in danger of losing our house purchase. Since Paul took over the sale of the house, we felt we were in safe hands. He could not have worked harder to make sure the sale went through. His obvious experience, professionalism and attentiveness reassured us during a very stressful situation.Without Paul's efforts we are sure the sale would have fallen through. We would have given 5 stars if we had been dealing with Paul from the start of our sale.

Mixed Experience but Inez is the star of the show

Likes:Inez is a fantastic sales progressor with common sense, empathy and a hard working attitude. She was always at the other end of the phone and we can't thank her enough.Helen (before she left) helped us secure a chain for our onward purchase. Her support and advice on the process were second to none. Friendly staff when answering the phones and assisting with enquiries.Dislikes:Very keen to overvalue the property and reduced asking price within three weeks of going live. This did get us more viewings and subsequently an offer but we could have had offers a month in advance if the price was right to begin with.Asked for multiple viewings of different properties whilst I was on the market and never received a response. Brought this up and still wasn't offered to view. (Which worked out for the best as we found a house with another agent, but at the time when you're in the thick of selling and buying you can't see the wood for the trees.)First agent assigned to our sale was unresponsive, dismissive as though they couldn't care less and didn't give regular updates about our sale unless pushed. A complaint to the branch manager rectified this.

Buyers beware

Poor communication throughout the process leading to sale falling through. Our offer was accepted by the vendor conditional on selling our house by a certain date which we did (actually a week earlier than stipulated) only to be then told that the property was still on the market and that new bidders/buyers had emerged. It was clear from the outset that Hardisty were purely interested in getting the highest price for the property hence the biggest commission. I understand that from a sellers prospective this is their job but there is very little ethical/moral code demonstrated by Hardisty. There were so many bad practices in this process in our experience. I appreciate that if Hardisty are selling a property that you want to buy you have no option but to engage with them - all I would say is exercise caution and look out for the red flags. Hardisty try to do better, remember you have a duty of care to buyers as well as your clients/sellers.
